After having such high hopes for the spitfire bar given its location, setup and menu we were left bitterly disappointed! Our food and drinks came to a grand total of £130. For this we had nachos, tacos, fries and chicken strips split between 4 adults and chicken wraps and strips each for the 4 kids.
The food took over an hour to arrive and when it arrived it was stone cold and under cooked, while this was poor enough service my 3 year old daughter was left without food asking where hers was! When I mentioned it to the staff he didn?t return for 3 minutes and when I did see him he was carrying food for a different table! As petty as it sounds I did time him due to how long the food took initially!
The service is absolutely disgusting, the food is disgusting and frankly their attitude towards resolving the problem is abysmal. If you are after decent food and great service I recommend using the pizza stand outside. 15 minutes from order to completion on 5 pizzas and they were incredible! Save yourself time and money, do not go to this joke of a restaurant!

This restaurant was diabolical, we waited an hour and half for our food and at the end we left and got a refund, dale the so called manager was shocking, no customer services didn't apologise.
We kept getting told 5-10 mintues well clearly not then he told us we gonna start cooking it after 1hr 10 minutes absolutely atrocious.
DONT BOTHER GOING THERE, IF YOU WANT BANGING FOOD, GO TO CHIPPY LOVELY FOOD or takeaway!!!!!

Waited over a hour and 20 mins for food and when they come they were disgusting and solid.. Looked lovely but the quality was terrible.
Daughter got garlic bread that also felt and tasted stale.. Went back for breakfast the morning of check out and again took over 45 minutes to get served two slices of toast and a pot of beans.
High prices and long wait times for food that isn't even nice.

Only giving 1 star because i have to, it would get nothing given the opportunity.
The food was rubbish, it took ages to come out and order was wrong. Chicken Tenders were more like Chicken Nuggets. Burger was not worth the £14 odd price tag. Food came out late and some didn?t even make it out! We had a meal missing, I gave my child my meal and I waited for the missing one another 15 mins, If you wanted chips with most meals you have to order a portion separately, I had an add on portion and no kidding it had about 8 chips in it? Had to complain because it was terrible but honestly they didn?t care, the person we complained to was very defensive about the portion sizes telling us the burgers they serve are standard industry sized?! Had to laugh a bit at that comment. It was more like a slider.
Simply, do not eat here, it?s not worth it, i?m sure you too will be disappointed. I would advise anyone to go to the chip shop, pizza van outside or use local takeout, you will save money and have a better meal. Definitely will not be visiting again, it?s a shame because its a lovely bar & restaurant area they just need to stop being greedy with prices, portions, and sort out the kitchen.

We ate here once while staying on site for a week and had an okay experience.
The first thing to note is that both doorways into Spitfire (both from the arcade area and to outside) had a very raised threshold which, as a manual wheelchair user, I had to hop a bit to get over. I managed okay but some electric wheelchairs may find it a bit more difficult and I was a little disappointed by it considering how accessible Tattershall Lakes claims to be and how many wheelchair users undoubtedly choose to holiday there due to it being easier than trying to holiday abroad. That being said, the whole restaurant was accessible to me once inside, even the raised dining area which had a ramp closer to the stage.
Onto the dining experience. On the positives, the menu has a reasonable variety, the food was hot when it arrived and was generally pretty good quality and enjoyable. I have only rated the food as 3 stars instead of 4 because after placing our order we were told that the wait for food was 45-50 minutes, which is bad enough, but we ended up waiting for an hour before it was served. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy as we went after the dinner rush (maybe 35 people all told) and for the size of the restaurant and amount of tables, it looks like they're capable of catering to a much larger crowd - so I'm not sure why the wait was so long honestly.
We had to order at the bar as the website didn't allow changes to be made to the order and I think other people had some trouble with the website too. The only other contact we had with staff was when our food was brought - and the waiter was polite and apologised for the wait. But that was our only contact - no one checked in or was even really around apart from the one waiter occasionally bringing food out, so I was glad we didn't need anything.
All this I think is forgivable but my biggest bugbear with our experience was the portion sizes. Other reviews have complained about the price, which I agree the food is overpriced but we expected that as a captive audience on a holiday site. But just how little food you got for the money was a bit of a problem for me, unfortunately. Hence why we only ate here once. The Propeller bar upstairs was equally expensive but the portion sizes were much larger and the wait much shorter (though I do grant it is more tailored to adults so might not be as appropriate to people with kids).
Overall it was an okay experience, but I was a little let down by the amount of food for what it cost and the wait time. I hope Tattershall can improve the accessibility difficulty I noted.

We ordered 5 meals (separately but at the same time) 2 meals came ours after 10 minutes and the last meal came out 2 hrs later. We had a meal cancelled and refunded as the kitchen had ran out but they didn't tell us. When we asked about it after an hr of waiting they told us but as we had not been made aware they were accommodating n did it straight away at no cost. The staff themselves were lovey and we didn't have a problem with them but the food was rubbish, took too long and was cold. However they have a good range of drinks.

We didn't have food, this was a bar where we had drinks whilst waiting for our reservation. The service was quickly, the guy serving us however, looked like he couldn't be bothered with his hands in pockets whilst serving.

Ordered food and was told of any delays. Enquired after 40 minutes to be told there was a delay. Finally came after an hour... Stone cold. Asked for a manager who didn't know what to say and offered to wait again for more food. Asked for my money back, got an apology but nothing about compensation. Won't go again as very expensive for food and drink.

Overpriced food and drink for what we got but there's no other choice for what is on site the food was very quick to arrive (less than 5 minutes) I spent more time at the bar ordering food and waiting in the queue than it took to arrive so that's a positive but the food was poor quality as if it had been kept warm for hours and just plated and sent out, the staff were nice but it was unclear if it was bar or table service at first until we asked, bingo was on so the noise in the room was overwhelming and no way to get away from it, the seating reminded me of a school canteen and it wasn't pleasant.

This is a mixed review as we have had the best and the worst service here.
The food took over an hour for mine and my sons to come out but my partners didn't come at all. So we had to reorder his and wait again..... not another hour but nearly 3 hours later this burger wasn't making an appearance. Not sure what they're doing in the kitchen but 3 hours for a burger is a bit much wouldnt you say.
We would have asked for our money back and cut our losses but for the service of the front of house staff and especially SJ.
Now these ladies get it in the neck for the poor kitchen performance but SJ and the team could not do enough for us because of the delays or the fact they were obviously buying the cow in Scotland who knows.
But SJ and the team were fantastic ensuring we had drinks and our dogs were happy and genuinely seem to care. Outstanding service that had us more impressed at the foh staff than disappointed at the kitchen. And my chap likes his food so to keep the hungry old man happy whilst waiting for his food is an impressive skill.
You guys don't get enough acknowledgement and respect for the amount of grief you must take for the kitchen.

Spitfire sort your online ordering and kitchen staff out and give those front of house ladies and gents a pay rise.

Food made us Ill and staff don?t really interact?. the only plus was that it wasn?t dated nice! We waited over half hour for food and then they forgot one of the kids dinners.
