Cracking pub with really high quality food; wanted to rate as a four as the drinks prices do seem very inflated when compared to similar pubs in the area - but my visit was faultless other than slight downside. Will be back!

Had my partners 40th celebrations here at the weekend at the London inn. There were 16 of us having food and drinks. The manager dealt with the party beautifully speaking to us before hand for a pre order, to organising the cake and keeping a table open for us downstairs to watch the entertainment later on.
We were in for the Rugby, stayed all afternoon and had our meal early evening.
The food ranged from £10-£15 and is really good value homecooked pub food. The beers are reasonably priced and a good selection. We also had a few cocktails later on.
We stayed until midnight to hear the DJ and it transformed into a late bar with people dancing.
Overall highly recommended as the staff were lovely.

Today I went to the London Inn for the first time in years, it hasn't changed much, there is a pub atmosphere when you come in, and we quickly found ourselves seating.
We had a very happy gentleman who came over and took our order, the food came out quickly and it looked lovely. My baby (just turned 1) was there and I ordered him the fish and chips from the childrens menu. I had a very nice 6oz steak, chips and a bit of rocket on the side from the 2 for £20 menu as did 2 of my 3 guests, the other ordered a cheese and ham panini from the same menu. We were celebrating one of their birthdays. We also ordered 3 pots of tea and 2 soda waters.
When the gentleman came back he asked if it was good and I agreed, it was a very lovely steak.
Now it kind of went a little downhill as I realised that the birthday girl hadn't eaten much, her cheese and ham panini was very hard and dry, so she left it as she is not the type to make a fuss.
When I went to ask for the bill he again asked how it was, I confirmed that the steaks were lovely but the panini wasn't and hadn't been eaten, he raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything. I will say that I wasn't expecting not to pay for the meal, but I also wasn't expecting for him to ignore my comment altogether.
I also asked him if they had realised there was no pricing on the kids menu items, he said that alot of the menu is wrong, including some of the prices anyway and again just dismissed me. My guests couldn't stop talking about how rude this was.
I asked for a dustpan and brush so I could clean up after my child (as I always insist on doing, he is my responsibility) he told me he would do it and bless him he did, which I thought was really nice. Then he decided to tell me about a family he had asked to stop coming in as there children were so messy smearing peas on the windows and rubbing them into the floors on purpose, I said that if that was a case they sound neuro-diverse, which he said "no they just get their own way to much and are now spoilt". Which again made me not sure about this gentlemen. This also upset one of my guests hearing the conversation as she has neuro-diverse children and couldn't believe how dismissive he was but was happy to bad mouth them and their mum.
I rated it down the middle as it wasn't a particularly bad experience but I certainly won't be returning, neither will any of my guests. £60 was the bill, which 4 of the meals were as I said 2 for £20, which means that it cost £20 for one children's meal, 2 glasses of soda water and 2 teas - go figure!
I'm going to save my money and go elsewhere where I can talk to the staff without bring dismissed or have to hear moaning about other people.

What a nice change, great place full of character, extremely helpful staff with a smile fantastic selection of beers, I think this place is a must when visiting

Popped in for a last-minute dinner before an evening out, really quick service, but food was great, good prices and lovely chill atmosphere ? we will definitely come again when we're nearby

I had the Smothered Chicken, the bacon tasted burnt, the chips had a black sort of taste to them but looked OK on the outside, otherwise an alright dish. Friendly staff, would try something else next time.

Food great , service was poor. Waited at the bar and the staff served four people out of turn . Poor customer service two other people said the same.

Me and my husband visited yesterday 24/2/25 to celebrate a special occasion and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome.
The food was just beautiful, the portion sizes were huge we were definitely in a food coma afterwards!
Compliments to the chef!!
All staff were so lovely.
Highly recommend visiting we will 10000 per cent be back!!
