Called in here, probably like many other visitors, to see the tomb of William Cecil Lord Burghley. Also, the memorial to his parents. This town church is on a cramped site but we'll worth a visit.

One of my ancestors married here in 1806. Lots of memorials to the Cecils, but in the small burial ground all the names had worn off the stones. Attractive windows and an appealing carved pulpit.

Beautiful in it's simplicity. Was keen to see all the memorials to the Cecil family. Very ornate. Interesting varied history. Well worth a short visit.
