Staff are lovely and very knowledgeable. The store lacks seating, however this is seldom an issue as you will be seen relatively quickly. But it would be nice to have something to sit on.

I am a 50 year old man who collected my first pair of glasses yesterday. From eye test to collection and fitting, I found the service exceptional. In particular I would like to recognise Phillippa. She was excellent, an engaging and wonderful women who couldn?t do enough to make sure I was ok during the process. Thank you!

Stamford branch corrected problems with hampton peterborough branch Tgese are franchises and take their lead from the manager owner Hampton has loads of staff who resent customers interrupting their day.The manager owner would not entertain a complaint despite a clear breach of trading standards arrogant to the last .Stamford awesome customer focused excellent Easy to get to being inside morrisons easy to park all on one level easy for disabled access rather than going un to townWell done all at Stamford restored our faith

Left waiting 20 minutes with no apology, and the manner of the person performing the eye test left a lot to be desired. Will stick with Boots opticians in future.

After my son unfortunately broke my glasses I made an appointment at Stamford as my local had no next day appointments. When I attended the appointment I was met with quite a rude woman. I will admit I was late to the appointment but this was due to my newborn ( 12 days old) daughter deciding she needed to feed just as we were about to set off (breast fed) which I couldn?t ignore when it?s a 30 minute journey. I quickly fed her and headed on my way to then arrive and she had had an explosive nappy. So I quickly changed her and headed into the appointment. Apologised for being late and explained the situation. But I was met with bluntness. Saying they couldn?t see me as o only had 5 minutes left of my appointment and I would need to rebook in. I showed them my glasses (missing an arm) and again no sympathy or compassion giving the situation not being usual. I would understand if they were busy but they weren?t. The woman I spoke to was just standing about doing absolutely nothing. I will not be returning and think she needs to do a customer service course at the very least. Yes people miss appointments and yes appointments are made for a reason but I cannot help a newborn baby cluster feeding and having an explosive nappy. It is completely out of my control. Disgusting staff.

I am very pleased with the prescription sunglasses I recently ordered. Perfect fit. Nice and light as I have thin lenses. I have used Stamford Specsavers for years and will continue to use them.

Visited this shop to buy dry eye drops. The nicest young man served me,Chatted to me until the optician was free and talked me through how to use the drops. Really friendly and polite.

The person at the front desk was unprofessional borderline rude. My mum arrived from Peterborough 5 mins late due to traffic and was told she'd have to reschedule which was fine as, at the end of the day, she was late. However, when I asked whether she could be seen as she was only five mins late the person at front desk blurted out: 'It's actually ten minutes'. A very unpleasant experience.
