Had a really poor encounter with customer service today.
I went last night with my husband and the girl was friendly and laughing and joking with my husband. I went in today and realised as soon as I recieved the item that infact it was incorrect. When I mentioned it to the same woman, she started gas lighting me, telling me I was making the item up and then went as far as to look it up on Google to tell me I was wrong. Instead of looking to see if the correct item was available at Screwfix as I asked her, so I could try to source elsewhere.
I told her that if it was the part she said it was, why would I be coming to order something else? Also, that I had the worm out item at home I was looking to replace. She told me to go home and check and would not take the item back as I clearly had made the whole thing up to go out of my way to screwfix to ask them for something that did not exist?!?!! Then as I was leaving she sarcastically proclaimed ?have a nice day?.
I?m not sure what warranted this whole attitude, I hope it was not the colour of my skin as I suspect it was. I will not be attending this branch of Screwfix again and advised anyone of any ethnicity to be cautious.

I called in on Sunday for a door gearbox. There are so many variations. I wish I knew the young girls name as she was really helpful.
