Hambleton Bakery has a good reputation so I was delighted to come across one of their shops in Stamford. The staff member was polite and pleasant and offered me the sliced option for a small white sourdough. As soon as I got out of the shop I tasted one of their shops ends and it was delicious. As well as a variety of breads there was also a small selection of cakes.

A local in Stamford recommended the Bakery so with that info we found the shopand bought a date and walnut loaf plus baguettes.The loaf was delicious and with the fresh baguettes we made healthy sandwiches .The service was very efficient and shop staff wore uniforms and looked smart .

First visit to this bakery. Won?t return. It was late in the day and the lady serving us was very sniffy and I felt uncomfortable in the shop! Beautiful shop but extremely pricey. I don?t mind paying for quality but £4.15 and extra to have it sliced was way over the top. And if I?m honest it wasn?t particularly fresh.disappointing.

Amazing bread, top quality. But the staff is not friendly. Very sad to come out of the bakery wanting to throw away the bread.

Food is lovely, a little pricey but good quality. I really wish they just let you browse and buy. We were practically followed round the shop with the lady telling us what everything was when we could read the labels and ask any questions if we wanted. Not an enjoyable shopping experience I'm afraid.

Amazing bakes! We ordered our Coronation Day buffet goods online. When we tucked in - it was all fabulous! The cheese straws were beautiful and three times bigger than expected ? as were the delicious olive breads. It was hard to choose a favourite between the sweet and savoury scones but the savoury scones were so cheesey they just edged it, however they were pipped as absolute favourite by the hazelnut and chocolate brownies. And if, like us, you've never had a Manchet or a Rutland Pippin before well you are missing out! We enjoyed everything so much, and were lucky to be holidaying in the area, that we just had to go back for more goods the next week ? Thank you Hambleton Bakers - looking forward to another visit next time we're in the area!

We had a divine cheese twist, Eccles cake with most beautiful pastry, absolutely STUNNING pecan bun, breakfast muffins & crusty sourdough. Every single thing is a culinary extravaganza! On the pricey side but worth every single penny!!! I?ll be going to check out the West Bridgford one (as it?s the nearest to me) asap!

Hambleton Bakery in Stamford is a true hidden gem. Located in the heart of the city, this charming bakery provides some of the best bread and pastries in town.Their selection of sourdough loaves are made with care and attention and go through an extensive proofing process to ensure that they have the perfect texture and flavour. Not only do they offer classic white and wholemeal loaves, but they also make interesting combinations such as sesame, walnut and sunflower seed.Their freshly baked cakes, pies, pastries and tarts are just as delicious too! We highly recommend the olive bread - they're light, fluffy and perfect with many dishes - always the first thing to go on a wine and cheese night. As well as sweet treats, there's plenty of savoury foods on offer too such as quiches and sausage rolls that are sure to tantalise your taste buds!So if you're ever in Stamford, be sure to pay Hambleton Bakery a visit - you won't be disappointed!
