“Stamford is a lovely town to visit in Lincolnshire, wide streets with 16th and 17th century buildings.
Lots of nice cafés and interesting shops, many Churches and many Pubs. It's name was adopted by Stamford, Connecticut, United States, founded in
1641.
We visited nearby Rutland waters and had a 40 minute boat trip around the very large man made reservoir /lake, very reasonable cost, well worth a visit.”

“Beautiful a few crack heads round the back and few local residents and tradesmen use the front as a car park, seriously lazy gets as there are plenty of cheap car parks in Kettering apart from that nice church”

“Graveyard was kept well this time- all rubbish was removed except the gardens needed a strimmer around foot/head stones. If I lived nearer I would finish it off. I travel 250 Miles to visit my family - church superb as ever.”

“Northamptonshire has some hidden gems, and St Peter and St Paul's Church in Sywell is one of them.St Peter and St Paul's church is grade 2 listed and dates back to the 12, 13 and 14 centuries. The Chancel was rebuilt in 1862 and the south aisle and north chappel was rebuilt and the tower hightened in 1870 by J. Maners. The grounds of the church are nicely kept, with a nice tranquil vibe to them. The church can be found in the centre of the village and the Village Hall is located next to the church.”

“So often my visits to churches are scuppered by finding the building locked upon arrival, so it was a pleasant surprise to be able to visit St Peter's (a Sunday lunchtime) and see the beautiful 14th century carved oak bench ends - absolutely stunning”

“The condition of the fabric of the church is outstanding. It's obvious what needs to be done is being done. Drop in any time, it's your church and open all day.”
