Would just like to say how accommodating the Staff were when our small group of 8 people had a later than planned Lunch on 13th August. Our visit to the Gordon Boswell Romany Museum overran by over half an hour, making us late to arrive and order Lunch. A covered area riverside was put aside for us and we all enjoyed our meal.
Thank you to the lovely staff at The Moorings Restaurant.

Food is overpriced and worse than store brought if your going to charge a lot at least have the effort to make it to a decent standard when you get roasties that are aren't crispy and raw in the middle and wet chips with a vinegary bbq sauce no effort made at all should of just cooked at home terrible food

Where do I start? Barman, flawless. Food, delicious. Locale, wonderful. Wife thoroughly enjoyed her steak (and she is PICKY!), full rack of ribs was phenomenal. All whilst overlooking the river. 100% recommend.

Visited just because everyone was talking about how good this place was because of food, but to be honest I was disappointed, food wasn?t very good, staff was great.

I have eaten in a lot of places and this was absolutely awful. The meat was hard and dry, the Yorkshire puddings overdone and roast potatoes too very underwhelming for the price! Bland plain dinner with no mash potatoes or stuffing! Shocking for the price! Not a roast at all! Would highly not recommend!

We've been wanting to go to the moorings for a while, so thought it's Friday let's go. The moorings is a lovely little pub on the bank of river welland, it's lovely to chill have a drink and watch the world go by. The food is really nice, plenty of choice, I had fish and chip which was perfect, the double burger was mouth watering with thick bacon and cooked to how you like, definitely going back. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Visiting Spalding from Nottingham, we just so happened to called in here for some refreshments...
Checked the menu whilst waiting for our drinks then decided to order from the menu, absolutely on point, I opted for the steak and kidney pie option and my partner went for the roast.... Absolutely cooked to perfection.
Thank you to the young chap behind the bar for encouraging us to stay.

We only popped into Spalding on the way home but we made the right choice. The food was delicious & large portions. Landlord and staff very friendly. Don?t hesitate.
