My wife and I moved to Spalding recently and were here today for the first time. Standard Sainsbury's that we have come to expect friendly staff and well stocked shelves. Aisles are good and wide, so I can manoeuvre my mobility scooter around. Not a fan of the new cafe, would prefer when Sainsbury's ran it themselves. Now it has Angus inside.

This store seems to have improved over the last year or so. Shelves seem to be fuller. Offers seem to be better. Sadly though prices are much higher although slightly more competitive to other stores.It is a huge shame that they have taken away their various counters for meat and deli and also the pharmacy has gone. These are a big loss. On the plus side they now have a branch of Starbucks and Argos in store as well so there's more you can enjoy under one roof.Staff are a mixed bunch with some being very friendly and helpful while others are only there to chat with their colleagues or get in your way.One problem I have is loud noises and this is the worst store around when staff move their stock cages. The noise they make is absolutely horrendous. There must be a way to fix this if anyone can be bothered.

Never have I had the misfortunes to be served by a very rude and ignorant till assistant. I said good morning to the guy,he just looked straight through me. After scanning my items he failed to ask if I had a Nectar card nor did he tell me the total of my shopping. These people are the front line of store and a few manners and a little politeness would go along way. Never had anything like this before as the staff tend to be very helpful. We all have days when we think I just don't want to be here, in this case maybe he shouldn't be.

Popped in to buy a couple of bits, and to kill time before a dental appointment. I prefer sainsburys above most other supermarkets.

Wow! By far the worst I've ever been to! The store is messy and dirty, food way overpriced and kept waiting at the tills (on a Saturday)! Asked the checkout person if they knew what day it was, to which they answered 'we just don't know when it's going to be busy'...if only there were two visual organs we had, so you could see the queues backing up the Isles. Won't be going back soon!

Good quality food, easy access. Good deals at the moment. Removed all but 3 tills and added a lot of self-service, which is not popular.
