It?s very disappointing that you?re not able to leave minus star reviews, as a minimum a 0 star review? as the service I just received does not warrant even a 1 star review!
I went into the store just now circa 14:40-14:50 and was served by a lady who, if delivering piss poor service was an art she?d be Picasso? If the goal of working in the Retail Industry, where good customer service is paramount was the opposite then she?d flourish, but in a sector where service is paramount , I?d urge her to consider a different career path outside of service driven sectors or to retire.
The events you may ask?
When I got to the till, I kindly asked if they take American Express (as many retailers don?t due to the costs Amex charge), at which point she said no, so I proceeded to set my Apple pay to use my alternate card, when I placed my phone on the chip and pin device, I clearly saw the Amex icon and said ?oh there?s the Amex label, are you sure you don?t take Amex ?. At which point she said, ?it?s there but it don?t work?. I then requested to give it a try, as my preference is to spend on my Amex, if possible of course, which is entirely my prerogative, at which point she rebutted with arguably the rudest reply ?so you want to be difficult do you?.
She called the manager over to process the next steps, however due to the piss poor service and her negligence I had ZERO desire to spend a penny in this shop, so i proceeded to just request a full refund of the goods. To compound this issue, the Manager just said ?oh okay? when I clearly explained what had just taken place, as if that sort of service, or lack thereof, is nothing to warrant an apology or an ounce of accountability.
I?ll never spend a penny in this shop again, and I?d advise that everyone else stays clear. Unless you wish to be met with utterly terrible service. A disgrace!

I am quite surprised that this shop is still open. I hardly see anybody shopping there and they have raised their prices so much over the last couple of years that you are almost certain to find things cheaper elsewhere. Even out of date items are often more expensive than in date items in other shops. For example an out of date 330ml can of Pepsi was still 70p. They have recently had a 50% off sale but only after they at least doubled the prices on those items first. They act as if the customer is stupid. Not really a good way to trade. At least I haven't seen the semi-resident pigeon recently.
