Unbelievable tradition pub! Really friendly staff and the landlord is a smashing bloke!The ales are great and the Sunday roast are delicious, I would highly recommend this family friendly establishment to anybody.

How awesome is this pub!!!2 Australians with a need to taste the local beer on tap, this place opened their arms wide to welcome us in and make us feel at home. Bonus of the night was joining in the quiz with Sid and Robert, run by legend Sam, we had a fabulous evening. Thanks to the Nags Head crew and the Heckington community for making us feel a part of it.5 stars.

Called in for a quick pint after a day out in Newark. What a cracking little pub, welcoming and cozy. The landlord, Steve, recommended a beer and we ended up having a couple. It's a little gem and it won't be the last time I visit. It's got a great local pub vibe and Heckington itself is a pretty village which is bypassed by the A17....definitely worth a detour.

Today we tried the Sunday roast me vegetarian friend meat eater Is all I can say to wowzers The tastiest freshest, nicest Roast I have had in an extremely very long time Nothing was too much trouble we where certainly looked after, the staff where excellent and the Food was even better Thank you I will definitely be back with more friends

After reading the reviews we decided to try this place to take our elderly mum out for lunch. We were not disappointed, my husband had the beef, mother and I, had turkey. The Sunday Lunch was fabulous with a large selection of veg and potatoes. We then had the walnut cheesecake, it was the best cheesecake I?ve ever had and everything was so reasonably priced. Highly recommend

Went today for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Best roast had out for ages. Generous portions. Meat tender, lots of beautifully cooked veg and homemade yorkies.......all at a very reasonable price for what you get. Can't fault it and definitely be back. Thank you ?

Update DEC 2022 a great Sunday lunch yet again, this time with a glass of red wine!--------Update SEP 2022 another Sunday lunch, just as good as I described before. Tasty and well home cooked. See the photo!--------May 2021 Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch here today. Well cooked, tasty and more than enough. Dessert was equally good, I can recommend the tiramisu. Friendly and efficient service to top it off. We've only moved into the area recently, and we'll be back for sure.

Dropped in for a pint the other day, with the misses and the mum in law, Great atomsphere, warm and friendly, fantastic chat with the Pub owner Steve..???Also a tasty big breakfast provided by the pop inn cafe brought to us by Angie, thank you
