Fantastic pub, wish it was my local...staff all very friendly and helpful. Pub is very dog friendly ? we had a lite bite fish finger sandwich, delicious ? well presented with salad and a side of lovely chip's... We'll definitely be coming back ?Food & drinks: Menu is good, all food presented very well, Sunday carvery looks great value.

Not bad food for the price, but we hit on a bad night for the chips, they were small and crispy not at all what we were expecting after previous reviews and the lasagne was covered in a tomato sauce which overpowered it.Atmosphere was spoilt by a group at the bar who were extremely loud and their language left something to be desired.We shan't be rushing back.

Can't comment on rooms as didn't stay overnight. Food great and service top notch. A young front of house team that are outstanding.

Visited a number of times as the Sheff is our local and we have never been disappointed, the food is great, portion sizes are excellent so we have no idea what is on the desert menu. There is a decent range of beers on tap, and the staff is always welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble.All in all a great local which we will continue to support.

A first visit to this local pub just for food not accommodation, first impressions are good, it's a big old building that is kept in good order , parking is around the back which is well lit and tidy. Inside the pub its cosy & welcoming a couple of electric fires to give an impression of a real coal fire which would be nice, as its such a traditional interior, a Scottish tartan plaid wall paper , pictures of deer on table place mats gives a country feel to the place , so the menu is nice & small with a good choice of homemade pies , burgers , chicken ,and some veggie options , they also have a nice carvery with 4 different meats good selection of vegetables which all looked very fresh. I went specifically for the mince beef suet pie but they don't make them any longer for the daily menu which has not been removed , but they still have it only on the Sunday carvery as an option.The selection of drinks are good lots on draught to choose from or non alcoholic choices too , food is traditional in nature but good , overall a 4 of of 5

Had meal at Sheffield alms 2feb, arrived 12noon ordered drinks and meal,after waiting 1hour the meal arrived on Cold plates wife?s chicken and leek pie you had to get a chisel to get into the pastry which was left ,my wrap was stake and stillton stillton none existent that came burnt to a cinder every one running around like headless chickens just as leaving they brought some more Yorkshire puddingsOut for so-called carvery looked burnt to a cinder , carvery had only two lots of meat ham and porkWhich did not look very tempting at all will we go there again, I think it speaks for itself ???

The Sheffield Arms provided a savoury buffet for my Dad's wake last week and it was lovely, great selection of hot and cold choices. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend both for the food and the friendliness.

Had Saturday lunch, 1st time here, will not be the last. Great food, really nice young team, nothing too much trouble, all supported by really great food. Beware the Yorkshire wraps, fantastic though monstrous, need a very healthy appetite.Thank you for a great experience.Food & drinks: Brilliant. Great value, great quality.

Has to be 5 stars all the way. We went on recommendation and I have to say I'm so glad we did. We went for the carvery and it was amazing. Lots of choice for meats and also plenty of other options. Too many to remember lol food was absolutely delicious. It's all unlimited too, not that we had room for anymore lol great atmosphere and lovely staff too. We will definitely be returning.Food & drinks: Amazing food and great price.
