Was only in there briefly as I was expecting to use the cafe - no longer open by the looks of it. There is still the word "cafe" on the windows but no mention anywhere else. Disappointing.

Went in primarily to collect an Argos order but then shopped for top up food. Nectar Price offers are very good and I often use these to stock up both freezers and cupboards. The only supermarket that always has more than one manned checkout open, if needed. As someone who mobility issues, this is excellent and the main reason I shop here.

This supermarket scams people by advertising discounts for nectar customers, yet when nectar card is scanned, there is no discount.
Also, rude staff!
Don't bother taking id for alcohol either, the self check out staff just accept you without looking at you.

I like Sainsbury's for it's vast selection of produce. However I find the few checkouts undermanned. It seems more self checkouts installed and the regular ones removed. Not good as many elderly still prefer a manned checkout but have to wait longer to be attended to. I only had few items so did self checkout.
