I returned a dress I bought 2 days ago but because I didn't have my till receipt or email receipt ( that I didnt recieve) the girl on the till wouldn't give me a refund. Firstly, I bought two items one item a pair of shoes that I ordered as they didn't have my size. I paid using my credit card and I had the receipt that was declined but not the receipt that went through. So to cut a long story short I refused to leave as they had records that I bought two items only two days ago. So basically I was made to feel like I was a liar. I want to add I am ethnic person with a headscarf. I am highly educated but I was made to feel I am iliterate probably because I was wearing ethnic clothing and headscarf. The girl snatched the receipt and dress off my hands and said in an annoyed voice that she will check her cctv camera if I was given a receipt (bearing in mind they had a cue of customers at tgis point)). By now I was made to feel like I was an annuisance and a liar. She returned and finally agreed that I could get a gift card with my refund. The change of heart was because the cctv clearly showed I did get a receipt given to me but left on top of the dress but the lady who gave me a bag helped put the receipt and dress in the bag (clearly it got lost or fell off the dress). I just want to let other customers know that they might give you an email receipt but be aware that they have the most dodgy internet connection that you probably won't recieve the email. Therefore, you will have a job returning your item. I would stay away from Scunthorpe New Look go to others outside town or online as they have better selection. Lastly, I was given a £40 gift card ( which I appreciate but my exoerience was dreadful). However, I decided to give my student email this time, because I didn't receive the previous email. Still waiting it's probably gone to the moon at this point. ?
