I use this Coop regularly but since they got an upgrade and moved all the isles around is gone down in product quality. They have half as much in as they used too, there?s about 12 different versions of battered fish and absolutely no variety or room for other frozen products. The ice cream section used to be great now it?s naff. There used to be a selection of quorn items now there?s 2/3 if you?re lucky. Chocolate is an astronomical price - you get about 7 boxed chocolate for about £10 (at Christmas time they were selling small selection boxes with tiny chocolates for about £4/£5 pounds, then after Christmas selling them off at 50p because they didn?t sell at stupid prices, Greedy is what that is). You can?t get many items they used to sell before the refurbishment. They changed the isles round and made everything smaller while giving the illusion of making it bigger and more modern.
Theres a young man manger that works there who comes across as rude, never smiles, NEVER makes conversation and wears over powering man perfume.
However the other members of staff seem to always be friendly and helpful and smile.. there are many products you can get here but variety is low and many of the branded items are really expensive and wouldn?t buy unless there?s some sort of deal.
Oh I almost forgot - they stopped the Christmas points vouchers! Which was very disappointing! A lot of people save those for their Christmas food and drink. The staff were really unhappy about that too. Isn?t a Coop meant to give back to people? Not take away from them at Christmas..

I wouldn?t normally give a national chain more or less than a ?3? as they are all clones, but ?.. this one gets a ?4? because of the local bakery that supplies them (Gadsby?s). The bread is astonishingly good (crusty farmhouse loaf) and they also have Gadsby?s cakes.
This sets them apart.
NB: staff have always been pleasant and helpful.

Shop was very busy. The staff were rude. No sorry for the long Waite. And then threw my change at me. Felt like we got the brunt end of the shop being busy.

A very handy and well stocked shop, they have a good range of quailty products (seasonal items too) and there has only been a very small handful of occasions where I haven't found what I needed. A good place to top up on the weekly shopping!
