Very limited on vegan options so just ordered a bowl of chips. We were there for a surprise 40th birthday party in the little function room in the back - service was great, staff were really friendly and nice to chat to.

Not impressed! Ordered the plaice with bearnaise sauce which was awful. The plaice was tiny and very thin. It looked like it had been microwaved as the skin was all sloppy and jelly like. Absolutely tasteless and the thimble full of sauce was gross ? chips were ok although tiny portion maybe about 10!! Was still hungry so went for the lemon sponge with custard which very lumpy like the gross school custard with the skin stirred in. Main was 17.95 and dessert 7.95. And waited ages for it to come. All in all awful and will not go again. I?d give zero stars if I could!

Shared a mixed Grill as it was so big. Delicious food served by the lovely smiley and helpful Christie. Excellent would recommend this pub highly. We were travelling bk up North And had a very warm welcome.

My daughter and grandaughter took me to Sutton yesterday for a surprise birthday meal.
The whole experience was an absolute delight!
It's the first time I've eaten in there but definitely won't be the last.
I had the belly pork and was worried I'd struggle to eat it as I've had radiotherapy on my neck and a lot of food is difficult for me to get down now, with meat being particularly difficult. I decided to chance it anyway as I'd been craving pork and what a surprise! It was cooked so well that I had no problem at all except that there was way too much for me to finish.
My daughter had the carbonara which I had a taste of and that was also superb.
Lovely young lady boxed it all up for me to take home before I was surprised with a complimentary chocolate brownie, with sparkler candle in and happy birthday beautifully written on the plate in chocolate. There was no way I could manage to eat it so they also happily boxed it up for me to fetch home.
10/10 with no complaints whatsoever. Food was amazing, presentation was beautiful and service was first class.
Huge thanks to all the staff that made sure it was a wonderful few hours.
I highly recommend it and will definitely be back! ?

Visited yesterday for Sunday lunch & been ill with upset stomach past 24hrs! Food average. Belly pork starter expensive at over £9 for just a few chunks of meat...nearly cost as much as the roast pork dinner!

We decided to come here for a birthday meal. For the price per meal, we were expecting far better food than we received. The mixed grill was very poor, you could tell straight away that the meats were cheap cuts. The rump steak was awful, could not chew it. The chicken, gammon and burnt sausage, were small portions too. For £19.95, I expected a lot better.
The pub itself is ok, nice and clean. Plenty of parking.
We will not return though, as the food is completely a let down. Much better food elsewhere nearby.

We have eaten at the Sutton arms a few times and always very pleasant,
On this occasion we ordered a dessert which we haven't done on previous occasions, and to be honest we where surprised how small the portion was.
I'm sorry but for nearly £8 I would expect more than a couple of mouth fulls.
Apart from the dessert we had a pleasant experience
