Just got back from the Bricklayers arms in Old Leake . Nigel Mercer and myself went for Sunday lunch ,well what can I say other than I have had a Carvery before but the one I had today is far superior to the other ones I have had. £16.95 each and as much as you can eat. Choice of 4 meats or all four if you can eat it, fantastic Choice of vegetables and massive yorkie puds. If you are ever out this way Do try it you won't be disappointed but advise to.book as they get really busy. Two sittings 12pm or 2pm. Staff very helpful and polite. Will definitely be going back. Very highly recommended

We called in for lunch yesterday.
It was a very hot day and so we sat inside. Our little dog was very welcome inside, with treats and water bowls supplied.
We ordered 2 pints of batemans which was lovely, and 2 meals from the lunchtime menu. Sausage, mash and onion gravy for me and honey roast ham, chips and trimmings for my other half. Both were delicious and plates were virtually picked clean. Unfortunately we didn't have room for a pudding.
We will be back again next time we are in boston.

Went to the Bricklayers Arms to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary on the 4th August 2025 with a nice meal.
We couldn't have picked a better restaurant.
The food was absolutely beautiful, hot, perfectly cooked and with generous portion sizes.
The service was also brilliant. Every wish was arrended to immediately, but without being overpowering and we were left alone to enjoy our meals in peace.
We have already booked ourselves in for the Sunday carvery today, which without doubt will be immaculate and as we have a static caravan close by, this will definitely become our local go to for drinks, meals and special occasions

This was a star find, after popping in on the off-chance on the way back from a day out. Right round the corner from Lake view Lodges where we were staying so super convenient. Fantastic, friendly service - just the right level of attentive without being overbearing. Food was delicious - I was very impressed with the large vegetarian/vegan section and my daughter loved the ice cream selection, but the star of the show was the chips! Honestly some of rhe best I've ever had - fluffy on the inside, and crisp on the outside, with a big chunky cut. Almost like a chip version of a roast potato. Only sad we couldn't squeeze in another visit on our short stay, or that we don't live more locally, but will definitely revisit if we're ever in the area again.

I went there with my daughter last Sunday, to meet my son's girlfriends' parents and family. They had already booked the table for 14.00. Apparently, there are three sittings on a Sunday; 12, 2 and 4 and you have to book. The pub is nice and has a big rear garden. As far as I'm aware, they just do a carvery on a Sunday. This was excellent. The meat was cooked to perfection and the vast choice of veg was freshly cooked as well. You got up and helped yourself. There was a small seating area next to the bar and there was a bigger room that we were in. I think it was for bigger bookings, as we were in there with four other biggish parties. My main reason for leaving this review is because of my daughter. She has dairy and egg allergies, so I always have to make sure that there is something suitable for her to eat. I spoke to Richard a few days earlier to confirm what was available. He kindly took time to take me through everything, so in the end we settled on nuggets and chips. When we got there on Sunday, I spoke to Richard again to confirm everything, but he said he wasn't sure what had been cooked in the deep fat fryers, so that kind of threw a spanner in the works! Anyway a few minutes later, he came back and said he would make my daughter a fresh batch of chips and some home made nuggets in a separate frying pan. This might not seem a big deal, but I appreciate Richard being honest and also going out of his way to make something fresh and not on the menu. This was also one of his busiest days. I didn't get a chance to say thank you before I left, but this was a big deal for me and my daughter, as I have to be very careful about what she eats, which obviously, is self explanatory. So thank you to Richard and all the staff for making it a lovely and worry free meal on Father's day.

We have visited many pubs nationally and enjoyed our Sunday carvery, but Bricklayers is second to none. Their choice of veg is so vast. All served piping hot. Generous with meat portions and gravy superb. Definitely in a class of their own. Consistency is the key for us. Excellent service throughout ?
