Had lunch here yesterday on the way to The Kinema in the Woods. Food was superb I had the Spicy Pork stew and the wife had Moussaka both very very nice. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic food. Friendly staff who couldn't do enough to cater for our group - which included 4 dogs. Excellent range of drinks. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Visited here a few days ago when I was in the area at a log cabin. With being 3+ hours from home we was unfamiliar with the area and didn?t know what was about. We came here to eat, but the menu wasn?t to everyone?s taste (amazing menu! We?re just very fussy) the lady who runs this place was understanding and still gave us 10/10 service even when she didn?t have to. Advised us on things that even the accommodation didn?t help us with, and was very warm and welcoming. If I was in this area again, would 1000% return for drinks and even to taste the menu (with less fussy people ;)!) kindness is everything, and that?s exactly what she shown - no one wants to dine somewhere where only money is taken. Thanks so much again! Wish you all the best

We had pre planned to visit after a long dog walk. Upon arrival my partner went into the pub to double check dogs were allowed in, which they were as stated on signs on the door leading into the my bar area. We entered the pub and were deciding on where to sit. Before we could even choose a seat the bar lady had already watched our every step. We were about to take a seat when she told us dogs weren?t allowed in the restaurant, no other instructions on where we could sit. She turned her back and walked away. Felt unwelcome from the moment we stepped through the door. We instead drove 4 minutes down the road to a pub called Penny Farthing Inn, who were lovely and welcoming to ourselves and Raine our springer spaniel ? they also served the most delicious food!

Very good staff. I believe it was the owners who served us as they were very accommodating. Very good with Children and the food was of a good standard. We went on a busy day but that didn't compromise the quality of the visit. We would stop in again if traveling that way.

Such a lovely homely pub, a real family feel. All staff were super friendly and welcoming, the Sunday roast was incredible. We had the lamb which usually you don?t get a very good portion of as it?s an expensive meat but there was tonnes on the plate! A lovely home cooked meal, really generous portions and super tasty. Desserts were lovely too, highly recommend.
