Whilst at a family wedding reception spending a substantial amount of money at the bar , service behind the bar was excellent by the young staff very accommodating , to however after the venue waiting our cab outside we were then verbally abused by the female manager shouting at us to be quiet in a very unprofessional aggressive manner presenting full of anger towards my family and my friends .
Clearly with very little experience in the world of hospitality and dealing with paying guests leaving us all traumatised and perplexed not a very nice experience.

This used to be a very friendly welcoming pub. What happened! Visited over the weekend with the family. The 2 eldest daughters didn't bring their I'd, as to be honest didn't think they would need it for 1 drink. Shortly after getting there drinks a waitress came over and asked to see some I'd to which they left at home and said they couldn't serve them alcohol again. Which is fair enough. But when the daughter nipped outside, the waitress or bar man came to the table and stole her drink, which had been paid for, without any conversation of swapping for a non alcoholic. No people skills whatsoever. The pub industry is struggling, and I like to support local pubs. But won't be with yours!

Nice clean country pub. I had Halibut mustard grain fondue, crab, which was very nice, my son had the beef burger with added bacon and fries, to which he said was delicious, it certainly looked very good, with a generous portion of fries, my wife and mother in law both opted for the sausage and mash, this was served in a bowl, which was full to the top, good helping of mashed potato and ample gravy, the sausages, to which they got three each were a really good size, not jumbo?s but not standard size, they both enjoyed this dish very much, for dessert,, three of us had the apple and pear crumble which again was delicious and my wife had the chocolate Affogato which was equally as good. Service was outstanding, although it was very quiet on our visit (Thursday lunchtime) the waitress was very good checking everything was ok and very quick In getting refreshments to the table. The pub itself was very clean, no sticky tables etc to which you sometimes get in other places. I would definitely recommend this place, and will definitely be returning at some point.

Table for 3 people, only two meals arrived because the chef had not read the complete order.
One meal should have been gluten-free but arrived with bread sauce and no standard veg served with it. Extra veg had been ordered to account for no Yorkshire pudding, so only that veg arrived - 5 minutes after main plate.
3rd persons food was cancelled altogether and reordered as a different dish so we could at least all be eating at the same time.
Very apologetic staff but shocking to see no measures in place to prevent cross contamination of food after being assured that gluten-free options are available. Please review this before something bad happens to one of your customers.
Ww will not be returning!

Great roasts with a huge Yorkshire full of veg & roasties.
Home made toffee apple sauce with the pork and a very pleasant horseradish sauce for the beef.
Harriet was very knowledgeable about the food, and made us feel special.

Cold food. Sausages reheated three times! (Severe health issue with pork!!). One meal out of 9 ordered never even came to the table. The crudest version of a Tarte Tartin I've ever witnessed, consisting of half an apple (unpeeled and uncored), cut in half wrapped in pastry. Rudest of rude Manageress who was not interested in hearing complaints. Raising her voice, telling us we're not welcome to return. Ahem, we will never return Madam!!

Lovely pub in a quiet village. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a noisy atmosphere while also enjoying free parking and good food, this is the place to visit.

Visited twice in two weeks - once for Sunday lunch - whole roast chicken to share, and once for Friday evening meal - dressed crab. On both occasions the food was both delicious, and beautifully presented. Great menus, and every member of staff that we encountered was extremely welcoming and helpful. Could not have asked for more, and looking forward to returning.

Amazing!!
We were a party of six including children and everybody had a lovely meal.
The menu had something for everyone and we all left very happy. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was stunning, chef max did an amazing job, I would?ve had ordered one of everything on the special if I could have.
10/10 Will be back again soon.

Thursday evening supper with friends was convivial and very enjoyable in this excellent local pub. The menu is sensibly short with classics like fish and chips along with more adventurous offerings. Photos attached of my pigeon breast starter and sea bass on truffle risotto (sorry forget to take before I started!). The wine list is also short but a good selection and well priced. We enjoyed a Picpoul. The decor is gradually being updated by the new owners/managers but the friendly efficient service made the odd brick wallpaper disappear! Will definitely return. Good place for walking and cycling.

Awesome Sunday roast, lamb rack to share an absolute winner. Beautiful pub and great staff! Well worth the two hour drive up from London.
