Do you know the days where the rain is ice cold; it stings your face and anything else exposed to the elements as the wind hurtles it at you...? It was one of those days.And yet still lovely, the beach is stunning long and sandy, with grass tufts sticking out here and there.The rugged old golf course, now owned by the National trust is an open invitation to nature to thrive and she has listened.We saw many birds before we finally gave up and went back home to dry off and warm up. Looking forward to visiting it again on a sunnier day.What we saw though was worth the visit.

Parking/disabled parking. Toilets are 40p. Small NT Cafe serving drinks/light bites. Wheel friendly walk along the promenade or follow the grassland track walk across the old golf course out of the wind! Walking to the right along here, it's about 1.3 mile walk to huttoft (beware overly keen parking attendants if you ever park in that car park). clean, lovely beach, rarely busy.

Free parking at the second car park,always a bonus! Lovely walk through the nature reserve,then come back on the prom/beach.Drinks and snacks at the cafe as well! We come here all year round,the beach is a lot less busy than Sutton and obviously Mablethorpe. Recommended for a more peaceful dog walk!

Lovely stop for refreshments. Lacks seating. Could do with more.Food was great ( couple of toasties )Coffee and an iced chocolate.Couldn't fault food or drink. Maybe serve on plates. But they did have a very good recycling station.Tad pricey for the area but good quality.

Fantastic beach stretching for miles in either direction. Dog friendly and with the new addition of a cafe situated adjacent the beach and the newly formed nature reserve.The car park gives easy access to the beach and is free for the first 2 hours, disabled parking is also available.

Was a chilled out area from the beach. & the cafe was 5 star.. their coffee latte & cappuccino was as good as chain of famous coffee houses.. lovely.

Loved our visit in June, but not in September. Ended up being covered in sand flies including my glasses. Turned back to the car after 10 minutes.

Lovely sandy beach stretches for miles. Good and quiet. Can walk along promenade. Parking available. Between holiday towns so not a huge amount shop wise etc. but a cafe near by.

Didn't visit the pit but the beach was fantastic going for miles. Great views.With a wheelchair I couldn't go on the sand but the promenade could take me all the way to Mablethorpe and walkers/cyclists could go much further.

Mile of endless sandy beaches. There are loads of wind turbines off shore if you mind them with fishing boats, both large and small. There are loads of cute beach huts of all sorts and sizes and colours. Parking is hard to get as this is a popular place so get there early. It's a quieter beach than Mablethorpe which was rammed and nowhere to park. Make sure you lots of 20p counts for the public toilets. They are alarmed so you'll get caught jumping over the turnstiles or you could always dig a hole in the sand...

Nice spot. Good parking facilities and clean toilet. Cafe at reasonable walking distance.
