Pub with good atmosphere used to be quite regular visitors for lunch but noticed recently a couple of things.The main course's accompaniments I.e. side salads etc have shrunk dramatically which is disappointing,also whats the huge price increase in deserts all about crazy prices.long wait for food coming and some glum looking waitresses while the guy who serves(very nice chap) nothing is to much trouble come on girls cheer up a bit or get another job that makes you happier,all such a shame because on the whole it's a nice place

I used to watch football matches here regularly and enjoyed it. Then I found that one of Louth's most notorious characters is closely associated with the place.
Won't be returning, wouldn't feel safe.

Sharon and the team - Thank you so much for making a difficult day so much easier. Your kindness and compassion were overwhelming. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We felt so well looked after, and it was the perfect send-off for my mum. We can't recommend you highly enough for events, food or just a casual drink in the bar or beer garden. Thank you!

Travelled over to The King's Head to watch a band, Got moved from our seats so they could put then chairs away to make room for a dance floor however no one danced as everyone was left with little option but to stand around the area for the 4 hours. Event was definitely poorly managed, quite a few people left early because of this and a shame for the band who was really good.
maybe a bit more organisation regarding seating when bands are playing would be beneficial.

Walkability: You go straight onto the high street for shops and cafes.

only stopped for food. Staff were polite and friendly. Had to remind them to bring drinks. Brekkie was spoilt by the delivery of BBQ sauce instead of Brown sauce but otherwise ok.

Nice place, really enjoyed my stay. Very professional and friendly. Room was nice and tidy. Food was delicious
Food & drinks: Wide range of drinks available at the bar. Food was fantastic, full English breakfast was nicely done. Following day I had Eggs Royale for breakfast, really enjoyed it.
Lovely manager, and very professional staff.
