So disappointed with our meal as we took friends for the first time. Felt embarrassed because four out of five meals were definitely not up to a good standard. Will be very reluctant to visit again and after reading some of the other reviews we should have known better. Was going to book for a Christmas December family meal but have now decided against it.

Nice location up above Legbourne. Quite country-trendy and popular, was well frequented when we went. Inside and outside seating, dog friendly with children's play area. Food was very nice, with good helpings!

Visited for Saturday lunch with family.
Excellent service unfortunately spoilt by a poor fillet steak. The steak had been cut into slices and was full of sinews. So much for British Beef!!

5 star food in lovely surroundings with friendly service, but rip off drinks prices... £8.30 for a rose Spritzer!!!!!

Cold food sent out sent it back frozen Yorkshire puddings used and frozen roast potatoes. Beef was like old leather boots very salty gravy.
It was exchanged for a hotter version. Chewing gum on leg of table 18 gross!

Nice pub. We did a circular walk from a pub walks book which started and finished here. Unfortunately it rained and we were pretty drowned by the time we got back to the pub. We felt a little unwelcome as it was quite posh and we looked like drowned rats (especially with 2 dogs!) The food was good, very nice pie, would have liked more peas and chips for the price.
