Popped in for an item that my 12yr old daughter absolutely NEEDED for her school bookday outfit in 2 days time. The item was not on display so asked one of the staff, after looking on the shopfloor herself without success she asked if we were in town for a bit and if we could come back in 15 so she could have a look out the back. When we returned there was the item waiting for us behind the counter. Great customer service, thankyou Louth Peacocks. ?

I went into this store a few weeks ago and the staff in there were so helpful and really made my day and made the shopping experience enjoyable. They couldn't do enough for me. I left the shop feeling so much better. I didn't get the ladies name that helped me that day so I couldn't name her in the review. Well I went into the shop again today and the same lady served me again and this time I got her name. The lovely lady called Marian was again so very helpful and I told her how much she had made a difference to my day. Marian your a credit to the louth branch of peacocks and I'm thanking you for being such a kind soul. Hope you and your staff get the recognition you deserve in these testing times. I will definitely be shopping with you again. Take care and stay safe

Why is jersey so popular in the UK? Or is it popular because it's so inexpensive? In the US, I sort of really really hate the trend that H&M started with the jersey. But maybe it's because I don't know how to make jersey work for me. My body is shaped like a barrel fisted horse shoe on its side. Jersey shows off all the bumps and ripples. I can't wear jersey properly even if you bribed me with chips and gravy. I just don't know how. Here, we have some cute designs. Obviously inexpensive alternatives to high street or designer labels, but with splashes of color that keeps it fresh. I just wish I looked more like these skinny blond white girls and less like a wilted balloon left in a car.

I suppose as far as shops go, Peacocks is alright. The clothes are extremely cheap and you can get a lot for your money. However as with all Peacocks shops (as they're a chain, its across the board) the quality is poor and often so is the fit of the clothing. I have found this with both the womens clothes and the children's. Having shopped there for my children up to the age of about 2 yrs, the aging is very vague and as any parent will know - clothes marked 6 to 12 months, are unlikely to fit during that whole time. However as someone else said, if you're looking for socks, or nightwear, I don't suppose you can go far wrong. Also, this time of year - the occassional cheap stocking present.
