I was unlucky enough for my gear box to be faulty on my range rover. I had it at market rasen, and they had quoted for a full main dealer replacement. I phoned famous four for alternatives. They advised that a re conditioned would be cheaper without giving me a defi itinerary price. I then had the vehicle towed there and got diagnostics. They priced it £60 more for a re conditioned than a main dealer new part. But as I had towed it there I was at the end of my tether with it. So agreed the work. The final bill was some £300 over the quoted amount without any explanation or guidance, as the work shop had said everything went to Plan. I paid and went on my merry way, but garages who do this are not credible in my opinion as Tesco doesn't put £300 on my bill without me knowing. Customer service isn't bad, but the car went in with a land rover valet and look like #### when it came out. ?
Edit: I was not informed of any additional work. I paid, so obviously I'm not arguing or implying improper work. It just would of been nice to know prior to any additional works.

Took my restored defender in 3 weeks ago just to ask if they could align the doors and seal rear window or replace. Could t get anyone to come and just look to say we can or can?t do the work. She said book in we can do!
Took in yesterday called me after 2 hours to say they can?t do it and charged me £82 to tell me when I collected as said there technician had a look. lol be careful of this company it?s obviously a very good way of topping up their coffers. Absolutely diabolical rude customer service and very patronising.

Not the first time I?ve used Famour Four and outstanding service once again. Ordered tailgate actuator for Disco 4 at 2:00pm, notified within an hour it had been despatched and received by noon the next day. Tailgate functioning perfectly again!

Great service , Stuart and the team went above and beyond to get me back on the road in my defender so I didn't miss a day's work. I rang at 9am and they managed to get me in at 3pm even though they had a packed schedule. Defiantly my go to garage

Should you be unlucky enough to receive an item that goes wrong you will find yourself in a very safe pair of hands. I was given an instant refund without even having to send the part back. Well done Famous Four!

Can?t recommend this company enough, they helped straight away on Facebook with a query I had regarding a running issue, recently ordered some parts and had a massive hiccup with UPS not finding my address making my parts 2 days late but Andy in sales stuck to his word calling me when he said he would whilst trying to solve the matter.
