We stayed here on 28th/29th June 2025, in a family room (myself,Daughter, Grandson).. Stuff were absolutely lovely, explained everything we needed to know.
The was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend if you need somewhere to call base , this the place.
PS -The cafe nxt door is amazing!!

A nice pub, staff and locals friendly, welcoming and helpful with any questions asked. Good selection of drinks to indulge with.
A quiet relaxing garden area if you wish to have a bit of time for yourself.
Plenty of choice to get something to eat in the area and retreat to the room.
Rooms are comfortable and accommodating.
If working away I would recommend. WiFi is on site and no extra charge.

The Staff here are excellent. They are friendly, helpful and efficient. I'd go back there just for the service.
Rooms: The rooms are very basic, but very clean. We have the large family room with 3 single beds. It has a very handy kitchenette, fridge and coffee station. The adjoing shower/toilet is private and functional.
Walkability: Easy reach of all all the restaurants and shops.
Food & drinks: There's no food at the hotel, but the little pub on the bottom floor is full of friendly staff and locals... with dogs!

The service and owner were very good, what got me was the room was lovely and warm upon entering, however this was short-lived, because when the heating went off later that evening you couldn't help feeling the blistering cold wind blowing through the window frames, and it's not just a little bit, coupled with the fact that the duvets supplied were not able to cover my feet (I'm only 6ft), and were literally 3" thick, needless to say I didn't sleep well due to the cold, and believe me I've been warmer in a drivers cab of a challenger tank in the throws of a German winter, not somewhere were I'll be going back anytime soon. Also the description says that they do food, they don't ??.

It?s a ?proper? pub with friendly manager and staff. Don?t expect high tech or brand new furnishings, it?s well-worn but authentic and genuine. I will definitely stay again when working in this area. I also had 2 large bacon baps made the night before for me as I had to leave very early in the morning. Good, well priced food and menu there! It is dog-friendly too.
