Always an amazing meal at the Anchor Inn - it has become our new local date night spot since moving into the area. Attentive staff, great choice of food and a warm welcoming atmosphere. My children enjoy the outdoor play area when waiting between courses.

Well, we arrived here and had a superb meal before going to a local festival. Coming back from the festival we really needed a shower, but there was no hot water. The following morning, breakfast was at 0800-1000. We wanted to shower, breakfast and then get on the road. But still no hot water. Breakfast was lovely. I asked for someone to call me about a reduction in room cost as we could not shower and there was no hot water. No one called me.
Such a shame.

Stayed at the anchor inn when doing some work locally, cosy clean rooms which had nice new carpets, had a great night sleep aswell ,very comfy bed,food in the anchor inn is 5 stars aswell , had a carvery on the wednesday evening, will stay again when im in the area.

I recently stayed at the Anchor Inn for two nights to celebrate my granddaughter's Christening, and it was a wonderful experience. The food and drinks were amazing, and the staff could not do enough for us. They were incredibly helpful in the preplanning stages, ensuring everything went smoothly. The room we used for the event was tastefully decorated, adding to the overall ambiance. I would highly recommend the Anchor Inn if you are planning an event. Their attention to detail and excellent service made our celebration truly special.

Very busy, food I would give 5 star, bar staff albeit the place was very busy, didn't hurry serving people waiting at the bar for a drink. Having said that I would go again.
Second visit and evening meal i hade scampi ect was very very nice service was excellent as well, will definitely go again.

Great staff, couldn't do enough for you, looks as if it's having some renovating work done, but all good. Great breakfast and the carvery was definitely worth having, the pork with crackling was sublime !!

Stopped here for a dinner on saturday. Very good food and service was excellent. Many staff working making the visit a breeze. Highly recommend. We will return.

Pub was quite busy on arrival, restaurant was also busy which is always a good sign.
Quickly found out if a room was available, it was!!
Had dinner in the restaurant which was quality.
Room was clean and comfortable with a decent shower, breakfast for a 5£?? Also great.
Highly recommend.
