Very poor customer service ,I was given misinformation about a courier Dhl service ,very unhelpful guy at the counter ! Waste of my time !

I experienced some very poor customer service while in store today. I asked a simple question about the availability of a item that the male staff member didn't even take the time to look me in the eye while talking to me and replied very abruptly with no sold out. I promptly left the store, absolutely no need to be like that with a customer. From someone that has worked in customer facing retail all my life I don't expect this and wouldn't think of being like that with a customer.

Average high street branch of WHSmith - very good selection of magazines and newspapers, good selection of stationery and books but very expensive. The store isn?t very inviting - looks really tatty in places and hasn?t had any refurbishment for as long as I can remember.

I came here a few days ago, and was served by a man called Philip, who literally snatched the book out of my hands that I was paying for, and handed me my change in an impatient manner. Has slightly put me off from returning. There used to be a lovely lady who worked here called Jayne, who was always so friendly.

It goes from bad to worse. Now they've reduced their hours and open at 9am. It was always my first stop when I got off the bus at 8.30.

My little boy had an accident outside here and herons foods. I ask the man working if I could use an ice pack as he was crying loads, he wouldn?t even go and look just said don?t think so. Pretty sure they would have a first aid kit.
