I gave this 1 only because I couldn?t give it 0. It?s a small restaurant so our group of six had to stand half in half out of the door when we got there because there was no one to seat us. Someone looked over and saw us when they heard the phone so we thought they were coming to seat us.but they squeezed past us and answered the phone instead. Then walked off. Finally, after asking a waiter a bloke came over and told us where our table was so we ended up seating ourselves. We should have left there and then because it only got worse. We weren?t asked if we wanted drinks once we were seated. We had to ask a passing waiter. The manager came over and took our drinks order and said he needed to take our starter and main orders at the same time. He said the chef wants to get it done as soon as possible. So we ended up with no break between courses. Very odd. Wine finally came but he realised he?d forgotten water we?d asked for, so he went off to get it and clearly forgot because he went into the kitchen then out again and served another table. Meanwhile our wine was still sat unopened on the table. He eventually came back with water, picked the bottle up and started opening it. The corkscrew was half in when the phone rang and he put it back on the table and went to answer the phone. We opened it ourselves, just as well because he didn?t come back. The food was so disappointing I?ve not got much to say about it to be honest. Most of us ordered sea bass and it came just literally sea bass and garnish. Nothing else. I thought they might bring vegetables for the table or something but no, just sea bass. It was nice sea bass but that?s all I have to say. My husband had jambalaya. I didn?t know jambalaya came with rock hard carrots and no sauce. It was truly awful. It was hugely expensive and all we got was a few bits of sea bass, some hard carrots and bad service. I?d like to think it was a one off but even if it was I won?t be back to find out and we?ve already told a few people not to bother

The food was truly unbelievable, quality, taste and presentation cannot be matched. The menu is perfectly curated, offering wine matches with each meal. I had the sirloin beef roast paired with the recommended Argentinian malbec which was suitably delightful. My partner had the langostine cocktail, followed by the venison Wellington. Again, both courses were presented beautifully and tasted sensational. The online booking was very easy, the host and waitress were both incredibly attentive, polite and charming. The restaurant itself is fresh, quirky and appealing on the eyes. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience, it isn't a cheap pub grub lunch so if you're not willing to pay for good food it may not be for you but if you are looking for a superb gastronomical delight or a treat for a special occasion this is 1000% the place to find it. Can not recommend highly enough!

If you haven't been to Lincoln before then this hotel is ideal to explore the castle and the cathedral and have a lazy walk around the top of Lincoln .The town is a 15 minute walk down Steep Hill where there are old quaint shops on the way down . We stayed New Years' Eve and the room was great - big bathroom , nice bedroom and warm . Unfortunately on that night there was no breakfast so we were treated to a bottle of champagne instead .Just something to bear in mind for the future . The meals on that night were £185 pp with drinks - without drinks £135pp - well it was New Years' Eve and it has a Michelin star - well worth the night if you like a tasting menu and various wines to match the courses .Car parking is at The Lawn nearby - about a tenner for 24 hours - tons of space there as there were about 10 camper vans in there and still room for more - no problem parking but you have to pay .If you want a dining experience that goes above the norm then this is the place for you . Plenty of nearby pubs that do meals if that suits your pocket . With the position of this place - it is ideal . I would definitely book to come here again as it ticks all the boxes for a tourist break in Lincoln .

Food was nice but nothing special, had better in the area. For me the main issue was the service, very slow at taking orders when there was only us and another table to look after between 2 staff ? asked for the bill as the time on the car was running out and it took nearly 20 minutes to receive. Probably wouldn?t return unfortunately

Thoroughly recommend this restaurantA superb fine dining establishment! Amazing food with truly excellent flavour combinations throughout the menu. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, professional and attentive!

Ignore the bad reviews, try it for yourself! AMAZING Taster night! Service amazing and informative, had some great Banter with the owner, loved it! 2 of our group did the wine flight,but myself and the hubster ordered a bottle of white and red. Was so happy when the Sauvignon came, as it was from a vineyard we visited in South Africe 4 yrs ago, and made it that bit more special! The Menu was personalised, and the whole evening was perfect. Will definitely be back!

Went for Sunday roast £43 per head, starter was 3 tiny pieces of beef heart which was cold and tough, I ordered roast pork for main, received 2 small rubbery pork steak which were cold, the Yorkshire pudding was terrible , the veg was like school dinners, the drinks were warm. And the total cost was £93.00 still Hungry so found a bar round the corner which does better food

Bland food. We came here on a Sunday lunch. We initially ordered 3 courses but 2 in and we couldn't face the third so cancelled it. The starter was bland, very little taste. We both ordered a pork roast for our main. This came out and wasn't roast pork. It was two cold pork steaks which were cheap and nasty. The roast potatoes were partially uncooked and hard and overall it was tasteless. We wanted something a little special than the average and thought we'd be in safe hands with the bronze pig. Unfortunately they've let their standards slip with cheap poor food. The waitor was working alone so didn't check back. We cancelled our desert and paid up vowing never to return. Drink was warm too. Only positive was the waiter was pleasant.

Booked this as a graduation meal, months before the event thinking it would be fully booked... walked in and it was empty (first red flag) We were seated at a table and the chairs were wobbly and the decor is very dated. We were then given the menu, which we believed to be a sample menu when viewed online as there were so few options (second red flag) was disappointed to learn that this was the full menu with no specials board. Ordered drinks, whilst waiter was getting them, we decided to leave (which we never do) and go home for a takeaway instead. To sum up, no atmosphere, awful decor and lack of options. Won't be back.

We arrived in Lincoln late, about 8:45pm, and restaurant closed at 9pm. They were only too happy to accomodate, and leave late. Giovanni, the friendly and loveable host, and the kitchen were absolutely amazing and served us one of the top 10 meals I've ever had. The flavour combinations and ingredients were heavenly. Giovanni and the kitchen let us sample their Blueberry Blondies, which were gorgeous. The wine and meal was amazing, all done at the very end of the night/shift for them. For starters we had the Salt Beef Reuben, beautiful flavours. I had the Beef, which was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth, my wife had the vegetable terrine, amazing and we finished with the generous cheese board. Amazing food, lovely space and so convenient to the big attractions. HIGHLY recommend!
