I had purchased a pair of gold earrings for my mother's 75th birthday and they were too small. She hadn't tried them on and they refused to let me part exchange for a more expensive pair. They wouldn't do so,but would 'allow ' me to weigh them in for £6.90!!! I paid £50! Disgraceful!

**AVOID**** Absolutely disgusting prices. refused an offer of £13 per gram on 18ct ring took it to cash converters a few doors down and they offered me 26!!!! Basically double what ramsdens offered. Absolutely disgraceful, had already sold some 9ct to ramsdens if I had known the prices were this bad I would have gone straight to cash converts. Absolute rip off, 100% avoidWhilst I was at cash converts a guy come in asking for a quote as he had just been to ramsdens and they offered him a low price also!!!

I've been in this place a couple of times, & wasnt convinced on the initial time what I was given.Today, 28th February 2023, I went into the shop with a couple of gold bits, but despite me haveing been in the shop before, the guy on the counter asked for ID, even after telling him they already had it.I offered him Military photo ID,Council photo ID, NHS photo ID,& a couple of outher bits, but they were all refused.He wanted to have a bank card, but as nothing was going to go in or out of that account, plus an attempted fraud at one stage, I wouldn't give him bank details.As such, anyone going into this shop to sell any gold or silver, be careful with ID, especially bank ID as that is not needed, & the details could be used Fraudulently or unlawful.There is another shop in the town centre, that pays better prices than this one, & they are genuine plus there is no risk from them.

Very untrustworthy when selling my gold.I took a good ring to them to be sold, they said it was 14 carat and offered me £60.I was suspicious of this low price and subsequently took it to another place where I was told my ring was 24 carat and worth £240 !What a difference...do not sell your gold to these people they will cheat you.
