“Great selection , especially in the bakery! only critisism is the fruit and veg seem to always be broken or wilted. theres an excellent variation of different items and relatively good prices... nothing beats a bakery brownie from lidl. yum!”

“Nice location, easy to locate. Although there's a tendency for slow traffic along the road, especially in the morning,.. I like wonderful staff as well, always friendly when they're assisting their customers, the arrangements make shopping there easy for me.”

“Lovely staff and generally tidy store. I think I just came in at the wrong time as the freezers were empty of the bits I really wanted, like the festive pies weren't even out - they're out at my local store, but I just wanted them for dinner on one night while I was staying in Lincoln.”

“Amazing service. When I don’t have enough money for something and I am really struggling by a few pence they help me out a lot without asking. ALL THE STAFF GO THE EXTRA MILE. I’ve had a bad and they go and help me. Im a student so you could imagine. They have such a good range of stock of food and alcohol in fridge and ambient range. Some frozen too. Great prices. Thank you everyone that serves me there!”

“Did quite a bit of Christmas shopping here, was a bit cramped due to what seemed like small aisles. But was well stocked. The mini pies are very nice, but don't know if that was just a Christmas thing or if they have them permanent.”

“Arrived at 0730 after dropping car off for service. Staff opening doors and advised only putting stock out opening officially at 0800. Took the time to show where the cafe was and how we could view our little dog if decided to eat in - though outside lovely alternative . When opened and ordering breakfast staff were very personable and efficient . A credit to the organisation and great coffee and breakfast .”

“I would like to praise the driver who delivered some shopping to my Dad yesterday.I live in Fareham Hampshire and find it difficult to visit my Dad as I a very ill. My Dad lives in Billinghay Lincolnshire and has recently been discharged from hospital. He is housebound now so I offered to have some shopping delivered. The shopping online was not an unpleasant experience. Once booked I informed Dad. On the delivery day the driver rang to inform me that he found noone home to deliver the shopping. After a very patient wait I realised that I had given the incorrect door number. The driver was very patient and understanding and I would very much like to thank him for his kindness and patience. He helped my Dad unpack the shopping and is in my view a perfect advertisement for Tesco. I'm afraid I did not catch his name but I really would like to make sure he knows what a huge difference his kindness and patience has made both to myself and my Dad. Thank you”

“A nice small supermarket with vegetables, fruits, breads and so on for people to grab quick needs before heading home from work! It also has a nice post office to go for sending your parcels, letters and packages! Highly recommendable for people who don’t have time and/or can’t go to the big stores and town centre!”

“I find myself quite fond of the offerings at Sainsburys it's my favourite of the supermarkets with always wonderful friendly staff especially on checkouts and their own range knocks the pants off Tescos and tastes amazing plus it's a really great price and they have so many good deals with a nectar card. It's a shopping experience that I frequently find myself returning to.”

“I moved to Waddington three years ago and felt genuinely lucky to have a Budgens right on my doorstep. The staff are fantastic—friendly, helpful, and totally in tune with the community. One time, a member of staff actually ran across the road to give me something I’d left behind at the till !

There was a time when barcodes and prices didn’t match up—receipts had to be double-checked—but fair play, that’s all been sorted now. The store is spotless, and if there's ever a queue at the till, extra staff appear almost instantly. Much appreciated.

And a special mention for the “use by” selection—honestly, one of the best parts of the shop. It’s well-stocked, clearly labelled, and a proper win for both value and cutting down on food waste. Whoever’s managing that section deserves a pat on the back.

Now, just a couple of gripes: veg prices can be steep (stir fry packs especially—almost triple compared to elsewhere), and one big mystery... why don’t you sell chicken thighs? Loved the 'chicken guys' marinated chicken. I guess that's sale and ruturn, like that overpriced' dine at home' garbage in your chest freezers , although i guess its all trial and error.

Still, Budgens Waddington is a real asset to the village. Friendly faces, a clean shop, and one of the best “use by” sections around. Maybe you could sort your booze bottle selection? Cant choose 3 from all available? Can't choose ciders and lager conbined, like in Tesco for example.

Overall. A village asset. Brilliant management. Well done.”

“Outstanding customer service. I hate to say it but I had a bit of a sudden awkward financial situation which meant I had to return all the items I bought moment's later. All the managers and staff were fantastic, understanding, discrete, quick and efficient. There's always that one annoying customer and that was me. I'm so grateful for their grace and professionalism.”

“Shop was well laid out. First time ever been in this shop,so of course couldn't find anything, a shop assistant took me to two different places cos I really couldn't find these two items, despite one been about 4 foot from where I was standing. Would use again”

“Lovely shop! Good selection of products often cheaper than the Co-Op and with really nice helpful staff unlike the Co-Op next door which has the rudest and least helpful staff you’ll ever meet.”

“Our NEW local Co Op is fantastic. It was much needed for the area and is definitely a great addition. It is larger and has much more stock and much more choice. I used to have to go to a couple of different shops to get what I needed sometimes when I didn't want to go to the main supermarket but just needed a few things I had to go to multiple shops but now I can go to our new co op and it's all there. Parking is great, lots of spaces, disabled spaces and access and 2 electric charging bays. Everyday there is fresh bakery items, coffee machine, slushy machine, even fresh free drinking water for customers. The new cash machine located in the back of the shop is updated and easy to use. It's lovely to see our lovely co op workers happy in there new shop. Thankyou for all your hard work setting up the new shop and we hope you will all be happy in your new work home ❤️”

“Great shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Good range of good quality products. The chilled meat is from a local butcher and is delicious. Having a choice of subway and their own brand sandwiches is really good. Often sell bedding plants and seasonal products. A really handy shop and petrol station.”
