Great staff but long waits

Spent 2 hours across 2 occasions here this week. They couldn't find items then explained they didn't have the dosage of the medication I required although they could have made it up with 2 smaller dosages. But no, needed dr to make a new prescription. Went back to collect them and was waiting another hour.
Staff are slow and inefficient. They never really went back to 'normal' after Covid with queues out the door 5 years later.
Absolutely shocking.

Lost 2/2 of my prescriptions and on both times asked if I'd already collected them, I'd only just come out of hospital! Not a good pharmacy the staff are unfriendly. Whilst I was in the pharmacy they accussed someone else of already collecting their prescription probably because there's had been lost too.

If queuing for an hour is your idea of a fun day out, this is the place to be! If you need to speak with someone who actually knows what they're talking about, make that two hours.

Awful pharmacy twice iv been in to purchase somthing twice iv been ignored. Stood their with item in my hand looking to see if anyone can see I'm waiting all too busy chatting amongst them selfs. 4 or less customers wasn't busy others approached I was ignored which was shocking but no surprise their coming from that pharmacy. Too many staff clearly with not much to do to busy chatting not checking if ALL customers has been seen too! Nice to see that a job like that you get paid for chatting not doing the job that they get paid for. Shocking customer service

Patience is running out.
Really rude lady has been employed in the last 3/4 months.
Very quiet, in fact it?s like talking to a brick wall. When she does talk there?s no manners there at all and the customers are left feeling like they?ve done something wrong.
Recently the pharmacy had even lost my prescription that I had handed in to them in person which had caused extra distress for me trying to make ends meet and get a new one printed.
Very disappointing that I am pushed to use a different pharmacy further afield where hopefully I will have a better service with more welcoming staff.

Many thanks for all of the help received from this pharmacy, forgot some medication while on holiday and these went above and beyond to help me get sorted.

45 minute wait and very poor communication between staff. Very unhelpful Don't care attitude.

Placed my prescription and informed 2-3 days too collect, returned 3 days later, it was not available informed it would be ready Saturday morning.
Returned the following day and told its not ready come back Monday...
Observation, it appears they need improve there system as its behind the times..so much paper work perhaps some IT would help.
It a good job that I live local and did not have to travel any distance...
I have given them one star service and that is being generous.

Update 05/04/24 they tell you to give them a call to check medication in 8 times and no answer surly there are at least 1 member of staff who can actually answer the phone it is certainly going down hill I have mobility issues so can't keep walking there and back to check if they have medication I am owed.
They always mess up my prescriptions and never check to see if I need refills for my other medications that don?t run out at the same time. It?s really been going downhill lately. Especially when I know they have more.

I?ve given up using this pharmacy. They seem so disorganised and take ages to get a prescription ready.I appreciate they are busy but if a prescription is sent to them from my doctor at midday on Thursday it shouldn?t take till the following Tuesday to be ready.There are always huge queues. I?ve also waited 30 minutes before in a queue to be told they didn?t have the prescription drugs in stock. Again, not entirely their fault, but frustrating. There are always at least 5-7 people in this place working, so they never look understaffed, but that might be the case.I took my prescription today to Skellingthorpe Co-op pharmacy who prepared it for me within 2 minutes. They also seemed very confused about why the Birchwood Co-op pharmacy needed 5 days to prepare it. Please look into this Co-op. Maybe this place could be run better!?

Never normally have a problem here but today's visit was just awful! First they tell me someone has collected on my behalf and signed for it(I don't have anyone to do that) and then asked me all my details including what medication I was on in front of all the staff and patients..... is there no such thing as privacy?! I then said I wanted to report this as clearly someone was impersonating me and they had breached my information as well as giving my medication to someone else before the pharmacist comes over to try and figure out whats happened. In the meantime a 4th pair of eyes finds my medication still on the shelf and he cannot explain why its already been signed for but there was therefore no breach. No wonder the waiting times are longer if they are having to redo prescriptions and have several people look for 1 item! I wasn't the only one who had problems today either. I work for the NHS so i empathise with the pressures etc and understand it has a no blame culture for its staff but something seriously needs to be done before the only thing lost is peoples time!
