This shop is as good as ever however, the company have suspended my account permanently with no warning as I tried to have something sent via British Forces Post Office to my location overseas with the UK military as I have done with plenty of other companies that support the UK deployed personnel overseas. There was no warning or advice that this was going to lock out my account. I will struggle to use the shop now I'm back in the UK as they have no flexibility and do not appear to support the UK armed forces.

I was served by Tyla today at CeX and had an excellent experience. He was friendly, approachable, and clearly knew his stuff. Tyla took the time to answer my questions, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process quick and easy. It?s refreshing to meet someone who?s both professional and personable. Unpleasant customer experience at its shop in Lincoln. Went to look for an apple watch for one of my boys. Asked to try on but they say not allowed. I asked why. They say it is their policy because some people put on and run. It is reasonable. I am with two boys 6 and 8 years old. Where we are going to run with two small boys?! Besides the seller came out and standing in front of us. Either a misinterpretation of the policy is wrong or the person doesn?t want to do their job properly. I genuinely wanted to buy but after that treatment I left the place

Never had issues before but over the last few months we have bought several items that were in very poor quality, when we tried to return some DVDs we bought a few months before and hadn't used they wouldn't accept them claiming they were in too poor condition yet that was how they were sold and we hadn't used them, proved a point and grabbed several DVD on the shelf next to the counter that were all in worse condition than the ones we were trying to sell, management and staff were rude also had to return a game that was broken aswell, staff had an attitude worst costumer service I've had in any CEX before other ones I've been to are usually good products with lovely chatty staff

What a shocking place, we bought a few item from here over the past few month and all been scratched and broken then when we tried to sell them back as our receipts where lost they couldnt accept them, but was happy to sell us them in that condition, but there addimant that they don't accept damaged or scratch dads. So I picked up a dvd next to the counter and it was scratched to high help and the guy had next to nothing to say and he was part of managment absolute joke of a company. Cashies is so much better

Was my local CeX for 4 years whilst at university 2018/2022. Never had any issues and excellent service as always. The store on quite a number of occasions did stink of bad bio though which has been mentioned about

I would give zero stars as my partner has brought 4 items over the last few months from there and they have all been broken
The staff here apparently check items before buying them in but every item we get from there seems to be broken
Trading standards need to be involved with this company as they are buying broken items to sell at full price under the guise that it's fully working

Just had a shocking experience, bought airpods pros on Saturday only for them to be faulty and likely fake. Returned back today and was told that they can't refund it because I'd damaged it and questioned why I hadn't returned sooner.... because apparently 4 days is too long for their warranty.
I'm going to get my money back eventually, be it through an online complaint or even taking it further if corporate don't help me but I guess whoever makes the decisions thought they need to waste a bit more than the hour of my time they've already wasted. I've spent over £20,000 with CeX however this store particularly seems to get it wrong so often. It's not the first time I've had to go to corporate after the store refused to help.
The guy with the beard and the one with the beanie and glasses are always cool though, just a shame the ones in charge are the opposite but I guess that's how it is when you're a retail manager getting paid 40p more than minimum wage, you have to do something to feel powerful.

In response to the response on my review and to further add to the review:
The airpods were definitely fake. Likely the case was genuine but the airpods themselves were fake. I eventually got my money back by getting in touch with support online, what's the point in so much pushback over returning faulty and fake airpods? Why did I get ridiculed for daring to come in when I had time rather than right away? Coming in to return them after sorting it with ecom team was a breeze, why can't all returns be handled with this much grace?
