When we got to the dentist we waited in the waiting room and I was asked by the receptionist to fill out JE detail form. I filled this out to the best that I could getting her information from off care docs on my phone. We were then called through to the dentists room by the assistant where the dentist took the form from me, I explained that JE Dosent communicate very well and that she may ignore him. I then helped JE out of her wheelchair and onto the bed, the dentist then asked me if I had a list of JE medications, I told him that I didn?t and he said well if you haven?t got this then I can?t see her and you will have to go. I told him I can ring my senior at the home for this information and he said yes. Kymm gave me the medication list and the dentist wrote this on the form. He then asked JE if she was in pain and she did not respond he then asked her again and she nodded yes slightly he then asked her where it hurts and again she did not reply. I then asked JE where she was in pain and to show us as she might respond better to me, the dentist then said to me I didn?t ask you don?t talk, I?m asking JE, I said oh right ok. He then asked JE to lay back and put her head back and she did, he then asked her to open her mouth and stick her tongue out and she did. The dentist then put the little long mirror in her mouth and then took it out and said right that?s it I can?t do it this job isn?t for me and she needs to be seen at the hospital. He then went over to his computer and put her information sheet behind the computer and didn?t even say goodbye to JE or me. He said I will send a referral to the hospital. I then assisted JE back into her wheelchair and out into the reception area, I spoke to a receptionist about the way the dentist spoke to us and she said she was sorry and that he is a Locum and she gave me an email address to send a complaint if I wanted to. Me and JE then left the dentist.
The way he spoke to us and me was disrespectful and he made me as a carer for my resident feel very upset and uncomfortable and I'm sure if I felt like that then my resident did.

Excellent professional service. My dentist referred me here to have a tooth extracted and it was something I was not looking forward to based on my previous experience at the dentists. Great staff that explained the whole process and I couldn't believe the dentist removed my tooth with such skill in less than 1min with no pain at all. Thanks.

I have been attending this dentist for approximately 18 years. And registered my daughters as they were born 14 and 10 years ago.
Reception staff are always friendly and helpful, and lobby area is light with plenty of seating to wait patiently.
With the exception of initial Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 causing a backlog with appointments - it is easy to book regular check ups and on the 2 occasions my daughter needed an emergency appointment for shattered baby teeth - we secured appointment same day - so very grateful.
I am lucky enough for my family to be registered as NHS patients.
At my previous dental surgery where I had attended from infancy for approximately 20 years I had never received more than 1 minute in the chair for a check up being told my teeth are fine.
I still have very good oral hygiene and healthy teeth however, with Bupa the care has always been more superior. The time taken to ask about any concerns, check teeth and gums etc seems more intensive. In addition to this I am also X-rayed every couple of years to keep a closer eye on the roots and jaw bone - I hadn?t even known this was a thing!
So I am very happy with my care.
However where Bupa Lincoln stands out is with the dentist Divya Hingorani whom we have been registered with for many years now (so grateful she returned to practicing after having her baby!)
Unfortunately my eldest daughter has a very small jaw meaning her baby/milk teeth didn?t fall out naturally. I?ve never had a tooth removed before so can only imagine the anxious nerves and discomfort associated. Divya is always so incredibly patient with my daughter over the years of having to remove baby teeth, sometimes needing to have over-aged shattered brittle baby ones pulled out piece by piece. My daughter received numbing gel and local anaesthetic for these procedures and Divya would always give my daughter time for this to take effect, and would believe my daughter when she said she was still in pain and administer additional pain relief (rather than horror stories I have heard where patients have been ignored and forced to endure agony as dentist felt the anaesthetic should be adequate).
Divya talks calmly and reassuringly as she explains what she is doing, and gives praise and encouragement - which are very helpful. I doubt my daughter would have ever gone back to the dentist after the first extraction had it not been for Divya?s care? and over the years she has had 12 teeth removed, including 2 adult pre-molars to make space in her mouth to realign her teeth with braces. That was a nerve wracking ordeal for my daughter, made bearable only by the kind hearted treatment she always receives.
My daughter has had braces for the past 6 months. The treatment plan put into place by the male in-house Orthodontist is executed by Danielle Rowley - whom my daughter is also fond of for her friendly professionalism during her regular appointments for brace adjustments.
On Wednesday we had a regular check up for Divya - she was exceptionally elated for my daughter praising the brace?s progress at aligning her teeth - it was a lovely boost for my daughter and felt genuine.
So I wanted to extend my family?s praise for Bupa Lincoln - we are very aware of how lucky we are to be patients of such a good dentist - Divya.

Recently moved from NHS dentist for a few reasons to this Bupa one, I am by no means rich so it was a brave decision but one I am so glad I made, costs are by no means ridiculous and I what extra I do pay is worth every penny. Sara was amazing during a recent emergency appointment resulting in extraction of a molar. I was extremely anxious throughout and not an easy patient. Whilst having to deal with the job in hand she also had to try and keep me calm. Best decision I made was to move, wish I had done it years ago.

Wonderful staff, great practice. I?m a nervous patient and they were all amazing. Couldn?t fault a thing. I doubt I will ever not feel scared when I go to the dentist but I 100% trust the staff here to act in my best interest with care. Thankyou!

The BEST experience I?ve ever had!
Growing up I was terrified of going to the dentist. The fear has subsided as I?ve grown up, but I?m still nervous leading up the appointments as I?ve always experienced discomfort/pain at appointments. As an adult, I?ve just accepted that this is a part of life.
I recently had a filling at a different dentist which was very painful and this heightened my fears of removing my wisdom tooth today. I thought that as it was a bigger procedure, it would be even worse.
BUT I was absolutely blown away by the care I received today. I was seen by Dr Nashwai and Katie who were incredible start to finish. They were absolute experts - I barely felt the numbing needles as they were inserted, they waited until they were sure I was completely numb, I didn?t really feel any pressure as the tooth was removed and they removed the tooth in seconds. I?ve had teeth removed before (braces) and the experiences were like chalk and cheese.
I never thought that it would be possible to go to the dentist, particularly for a tooth extraction, and describe it as a good, pleasant, discomfort fee experience.
11/10 would recommend. The receptionists are lovely as well and it was a very welcoming waiting room.

I was referred for 2 minor extractions and attended on 16th May. Dr Nashawi and nurse Georgia were absolutely first class and totally professional, in addition to being very nice people. I would recommend them 100%.
