We stayed in an indulgent caravan. On arrival no bubbly as advertised but after a phone call they did bring it round. Only 3 outdoor chairs for a party of 7 to be told we don't have anymore it's busy. Fortunately our lovely neighbour lent us some while we was there. Cleanliness was poor, cobwebs everywhere, carpets stained, no mattress protector on single bed, mattress stained. I was surprised no dishwasher but that's fine we can wash pots. Knives and scissors are all blunt wouldn't cut, need changing. Hot tub was great! The man came twice a day to check on it, levels and chemicals he had to use. Day two he had to empty hot tub as the results were poor. He said they empty hot tub each time new people arrive but I find that hard to believe if it needed changing so quickly but he did his job so we could use it again. Activities- the pass came with our booking. We have to book 21 days before. Very disappointed with the pedloes, rip off really. £20 which we thought was for an hour but it was only 20 mins. You could only use a small section of the lake due to fishing. Maybe this should be mentioned on booking. Meal at Tatersall Country pub was lovely and hot, a long wait though but staff were friendly, quite expensive but kids meals were good value. Holidays was expensive, I know peak time but I expect what I pay for, to cater for the amount of people booked and most certainly to be clean!!

We booked our accommodation privately which was fine. However gutted by how greedy and sold out tattershall has become, we went a few years ago and loved it. However now you have to buy passes which for our group of 6 was over £400! This gets you into the complex and swimming, fortunately I had read to book in advance so did manage to get a swim slot everyday. Missed out on loads of activities even though I tried to book early. We ate at the propellor bar one night food was pricey which I kind of expected and was nice food, but the service was terrible we where in there nearly 3 hours for our two course meal, the kids where bored silly by the end of it. The chippy is a good shout tasty and a fair price. There are two parks which are within the complex and are constantly rammed, full of children left to their own devices causing absolute mayhem, my six year old was knocked off the ladder twice by teenagers. Could do with some dotted about so anyone can access. They also need to decide if they are a party complex or family complex as being next door to a rowdy stag do when you have kids is no fun for either party, not fair of them to be told to be quiet but not fair on us to have to put up with it. We visited the near by farm to escape for a day that was lovely. Far too many vans for the place now, ruined an absolute gem!

My sons mountain bike was stolen in the night on our first night. After calling the police we were informed that cars, Caravans and bikes were all burgled the same night and most nights for the last few months but there?s nothing they can do because the park manager will not cooperate or take any advice to get CCTV on the park or block outside access. So this huge, ridiculously expensive park does not and WILL NOT put CCTV or barriers in to protect its resident families despite it being a regular problem. Which begs the question why? Why would they not want the thieves caught or scared off? This could leave some to believe they?re maybe in on it? The police were fed up and helpless and encouraged us to get on at the site manager. Our caravan was great because it was privately owned but the only thing we could book was pedalos and even then no one turned up for us to access them despite paying £40. Everything else was overbooked and to say we paid £200 just for a pass to be able to further purchase activities- it was a waste of money because it was over booked anyway. The worst, but most expensive park I?ve ever been to and I write this whilst I?m still here after one night!

Basic accommodation, great hot tub, kids had fun for a short weekend, Overall, I wouldn?t go again though. Accommodation- We stayed in a 6 berth caravan on Lancaster Cresent. It was a ?superior caravan? which, now, I think just refers to the number of beds rather than the quality. It was basic, but did the job. All the surfaces had been cleaned etc but it smelt of wet dog (we must have had a dog friendly van without realising). I spent alot of time on the floor as was playing with my children and honestly the carpet was filthy. Lots of dog hair on the floor and the sofa and very grubby). It was missing any kind of homely type features eg a lamp. I didn?t expect it to be fully furnished with all the homely features but it really was lacking anything. Tv was a flat screen, a good size, worked well. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook (but the kitchen knives were rather blunt so chopping up fruit in the kitchen basically ended up juiced fruit from being squashed by the knife). The beds were comfy and the bedding was clean. If you have kids and need a dark room take a blackout blind as the curtains are very thin. We could fit a travel cot in the twin room but putting one bed frame on top to the other to make space. The shower had good water pressure, felt clean. The hot tub was lovely. Very clean and warm and the kids loved it. Decking area felt nice and clean too. We had a few ?party vans? around us with people there for a good time. Didn?t bother us too much despite them playing music/being in the hot tub till 12am ish. Facilities- We booked with away resorts so we had guest passes for the park. This got you entry into the facilities including things like swimming (but you have to book it) We booked last minute so we couldn?t book into the indoor or outdoor swimming pool. We managed to get into the outdoor lido one day as a walk in, but I think this was because it was raining ? the outdoor pool was so lovely and warm and my son LOVED it. The changing rooms are outdoors and felt a little chilly but fine for the summer. The next day was an ?owners only? swim in the morning so we couldn?t get into that then it was booked slots and walk ins. We didn?t get into the first walk In so would of had to wait another hour to MAYBE get into the next slot but we didn?t fancy waiting so went back to play in the hot tub at the caravan. One of the kids parks was good for children aged around 6+ and the other a younger at around 2+. The lake is beautiful and I really think the site would benefit from doing a trail around the lake with various kids play parks for different ages. On the Saturday we booked my 4 year old into a superhero class and I honestly can?t fault it. The two team members were fantastic. Engaging and enthusiastic. The kids made a superhero mask, decorated a mask, did some little activities/games and then graduated at the end. My son honestly LOVED this. It was excellent value at around £9 for an hour. We booked the Pedalo for Sunday which was expensive. £20 for 20 mins. Incredibly small area you could use however, my son loved it because he is only 4 so he didn?t need much. The staff were sat on their phones which I thought was a little unprofessional while at work but they were friendly when we spoke to them and they got us ready for the Pedalo. For any plus size people- beds were comfy, chairs were fine (mainly benches around), I would have struggled to go on the Pedalo I think as it?s shaped seats on it. The shower was fine just a little tight to get in but once in it was fine. Overall, we did have a nice little break away. We didn?t need more than 2-3 days and the hot tub at the caravan made it. We wouldn?t go back again as ?been there done that? and struggled to book into anything.

We arrived home yesterday after a Monday to Friday break with two families with teenage children, we was situated in ?The Fairway? which was an extremely long walk to get to where the swimming/entertainment was. We was told by an employer that the swimming pool holds 33 spaces per hour - yet there are 1500 caravans !! Hence whilst only being able to go once during holiday - yet when we went there was only 12 people in the pool !! The gym holds 2 people per hour and is the size of a home gym very tiny with hardly any equipment yet the photos make it look like it?s massive The outside Lido - no complaints we managed to go twice and was very nice and clean lots of lifeguards but approx 12 changing rooms for the 100 plus people they let in per hour so lots of people hanging around and they was not cleaned or manned Entertainment was very poor - all finished by 10.30-11 Every drink you buy you are given a plastic cup that you have to pay £1 extra for per drink then have to join the queue to get a refund - so every round of drinks was an extra £7 with our combined family The main restaurant the staff are very young - they continuously all huddle around the meet and greet area and as a customer needing some help - you have no alternative but to get up from your seat and go to them rather than them come to us We did complain after one of us having a whole meal and we was waiting ages then to be told a meal wasn?t available yet we was able to pick something else - I asked for the manager after another issue and food was burnt the short lady with blonde hair and glasses come over with absolutely no customer experience literally with no reasoning and was really quite rude !! Then when she did say I will take some money off the bill she then got her bag and left - when we got the bill it was full price !!!! Fishing lakes there are two - my son and his cousin went 3 times - for four hours - £7.50 each with their own equipment each time They caught nothing - we walked around the whole lake which was big - not one person had caught anything and someone had been fishing all week long ( I do understand they don?t catch every time but when no one catches a thing whole of the lake) !! Jet skis over 18?s only - my children could have gone around with someone just three laps for £35 each for approx 5 minutes !!!!! So £ 105 for the three of them for five minutes !!!!! Water sports were all fully booked - unable to use Shop is extremely over priced once person on till and long queues continuously - every day no water at all - reduced stock One person checked our passes for the whole time we was there not sure why you pay the £240 passes when you pay so much when you arrive The place itself looks clean and gardens maintained but completely overcrowded - not enough facilities for everyone I would not recommend this site I have stayed at many caravan sites and this will not be a relaxing holiday and the facilities are not enough for all the people. Glad to be home !!!!

This review does not reflect the accommodation as this was booked privately and was exceptional, this review is around the facilities. They have crammed as much into a small space as they can, the roads are downright dangerous, they are far too narrow with no footpaths. I really felt for some people who had caravans back to back with no space around them and a lovely view of the roadside or the back of a caravan. If this place was truly wanting to make the most of its excellent location they really need to review the layout of the caravans and give people what the website suggests you are going to get. We were able to drive into the site without anyone checking if we were guests which doesn?t make me feel at ease as there is no control about who is on site and why they are there. The only security we saw on site were there to stop you entering the entertainment complex. We managed to get 2 slots for swimming whilst we were there for a week but it was fully booked otherwise. The outdoor lido was actually quite enjoyable and there were plenty of lifeguards, but this was ruined the smell of urine and the awful walk upto it. The entertainment complex is a very bizarre layout. The amusements are the walkway to the swimming and the pub is the walkway to the outdoor area. (Enjoy your meal whilst people are flipp/flopping by in towels and dripping hair) There is no feeling of open space anywhere. The ?beachs? can only be appreciated by seeing them! I mean if you like sitting by a swamp with a dirty bit of sand then you?ve come to the right place. It was so busy at all times of the day which we expected in the summer holidays however many other resorts manage this level of footfall by spreading the activities over a large site area, this place has crammed them all into one gate controlled fenced off area and then crammed caravans into any remaining open space. The indoor splash pad which we struggled to get booked was completely uncontrolled by staff so it turns out we could have just walked in at any time or day and no one would have cared if we booked or not. But it was so tired and hardly any of the splash pad worked despite pressing the purple buttons! We tried to take our children to the on-site entertainment but this was sold out weeks before we arrived and to be honest I?m pretty glad that I wasn?t able to book it based on what we saw. Seriously puzzled as to what the entertainment passes actually brought to our holiday experience. The whole place is so run down and cheap looking I don?t know why they feel they can charge the prices they do. We can only recommend this place if you get a executive lakeside lodge which means your view of the lakes is unspoilt and you leave the site as soon as you step out of your accommodation. The RAF flights are amazing to watch and didn?t cause any upset to our children, they were doing night flights whilst we were there and they are few and far between and finished by 11pm.

Please do not stay in the 4 bed Alpine lodge on duck lagoon. The accommodation is full of mold in the bathroom and twin bedroom. There are huge cobwebs and the bedrooms are crawling with spiders, curtain poles hanging off, outdoor fencing hanging off and the place doesn't look like it's been cleaned for months. The resort is lovely but this accommodation is badly maintained and housekeeping is non existant.

2nd great stay at Tattershall this year. Park is clean, well laid out and theres always plenty to do. We booked a superior caravan with hot tub, couldn't fault anything. Well appointed, clean and had everything we needed. Grandson injured his thumb, but after a call to reception to see if a first aider was available, a brilliant, trained paramedic arrived within 5 minutes, who was great. He treated the injury, calmed my grandson and reassured everyone. Thank you. Would definitely book again, my new happy place

Avoid this place like the plague! This is the first holiday I've ever had were I wanted to leave early. - No kitchen utensils in the accommodation, had to go out and buy are own. - No water sports were available on the Monday as one of the lakes was let out to an external jetski course (in the middle of the summer holidays! Who would think of doing that?!) This wasn't highlighted/explained in the booklet so we didn't get a chance to do these activities. - Hilariously in this day and age there was no internet reception or 4G where our accommodation was. There is a Tattershall wifi which you would need to remortgage your house to get on for a week, like most of the stuff on this site, but speaking to others it was shocking as well. This wasn't an issue for our younger kids but for our teens who wanted to stay connected to the outside world, they were gutted. - In addition to there being no internet reception, most of the activities or bookings, you had to make/view online, so you couldn't do it other than travelling miles to the service centre, where there was always a massive queue. - The accommodation was filthy! Cobwebs everywhere and rubbish left on floor in bedroom from last incumbent's. - None of the showers in the indoor pool worked. Basically for what you pay and then are expected to pay for food, drink and activities compared to the quality, it's the worst place I've ever been. I can imagine all Away Resorts are of this standard so avoid and go abroad or to a Butlins, Park Dean or Haven instead

Caravan is fine, hot tub nice, but literally nothing for teenagers to do! Everything costs a fortune. No swimming available at all. The indoor pool is tiny anyway. The outside area is run down. £13 for 2 pints because we had to buy a plastic glass to reuse. All the entertainment is for little ones and everything is booked solid anyway. We wasn't told to 21 days before. I mean how ridiculous is that! We've been caravaning at holiday sites for 13 years and this is definitely the worse one we've been to. Had to drive into Lincoln 2 full days to do something with the kids. Honestly if your children are over 11, don't bother unless you just want them to sit outside a pub. If you try turn up at 7pm for the outside lido, u may just get in, you're lucky! Paid £1000 for 5 days. Absolute joke.
