Agnes is the nicest person I have met since a long time. Also helped me out with a charger, because me bering stupid forgot an UK adapter for my charger. Steak was very tasty.

Exceptional and madly fun service from Hayley - an awesome experience!! She went above and well beyond in making sure I had some exciting vegan options (that were not on the menu).

It?s a shame because the staff have been so great, however the general atmosphere isn?t. Tables are coated in what can only be described as eroding paint and are sticky to the touch, holding my skin and sleeves down every time I pick up my hands. Waited 45 minutes since ordering and have not yet received my meal, while patrons are over drinking and bellowing drunk down the phone at barely 7pm. Plate came with chips and cracks in. Here on business so I didn?t choose to be here admittedly, and it?s a shame because the waiting staff are so lovely

A little disappointed really, service was really good, but the food average - ordered the chicken kebab which was just okay, not brilliant. But the most disappointing aspect was ordering our dessert, but as we were after 9pm the kitchen had closed. We were late diners, arrived at 8.15 but when we ordered our main we mention we would like a dessert so when we were faced ordering and told, sorry the kitchen is now closed, we were left very disappointed indeed - not good really as the staff should have really come to us, but didn't. Ho hum - we dined out the second evening, great meal locally, far superior food and service.

We were staying at the attached Hampton, so it was quite convenient to eat dinner at the Touchdown Bar and Grill. There were plenty of tables available and no wait to be seated. Our server Agnes was super friendly, very nice and full of helpful information. There was even another restaurant patron that overheard us talking to Agnes and she stopped by our table to give us some sightseeing tips. What a delight. I had the margarita pizza, which was enough for 2 people. My husband had the peri peri kabob sandwich and fries. Both choices were delicious. We encountered a bit of a language barrier when I asked if they had Sprite. Sprite is a lemon-lime flavored soda in the US. Agnes said Yes, they had Lemonade. I said No, not lemonade, I would like Sprite. She said Yes, we have Lemonade. It made for some laughs. Learn from me - if you are from the US and you want a lemon-lime soda (which we call Sprite), they appear to call it lemonade in the UK. I have no idea what they actually call lemonade (water, lemon juice and sugar) in the UK. All in good fun. LOL. We had a nice meal and a good conversation with Agnes. Highly recommended.

Restaurant attached to the Hamilton by Hilton hotel so very convenient location. Advised to book when checking-in so turned up on time. It seemed the only 2 staff front of house were flustered and took nearly 5 minutes to acknowledge I was there. I was shown to the table and ordered a drink, then asked immediately if I was ready to order food without seeing a menu, I asked for a couple of minutes. Within 90 seconds I was asked by the other member of staff if I was ready to order, asked for a couple of minutes. Then waited 40 minutes before I saw anyone again. Ordered a steak which was nice but at £27 for (a small) 10oz rib eye was over priced. Food ok, but more staff required.

Really fantastic Staff who work ever so hard with smiles on their faces. I ordered the Chili Beef pizza which I have to say was the worst pizza I have ever had! I had one slice and sent it back and went for the prawn cocktail which was passable. Writing this review I still can't get over how bad the pizza was. I then went into the bar ,got myself a bottle of wine and a nice member of staff changed the TV station over so I could watch the football. I then watched one guy fall over due to being absolutely wasted followed by another guy at the bar absolutely drunk off his head. They were dropping like flys. I feel sorry for the staff they don't deserve to be serving terrible food and managing drunks on a regular basis. I stopped at this hotel in 2019 if my memory serves me well, when it was a little different.

As a 'mature student' (having travelled globally for over 35 years) - I would like to express my gratitude for the professional approach and service from Agnes and Vikki over the past 12 months - service with a smile, exceptional ability to manage expectations and by the way - great food at a good price. The girls exemplify that adage "your employees are your greatest asset." Looking forward to another year of good food with great service. Thank you! Glenn

Lovely restaurant attached to the Hampton by Hilton Humberside Airport. Nothing was too much trouble for Agnes and Nikki. Looked after our whole party with a smile and friendly chat about the local area.

I visited touchdown while staying at Nightel hotel. Had a burger and it was lovely. staff were all very nice. Would highly recommend! John W
