I was booked into this hotel due to no availability in my usual hotel. I am so glad I was, the black bull is by far the nicest friendliest place I've ever stayed. From being greeted by Stephen the owner and leaving in the morning I felt at home. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and I slept like a baby. The shower was huge and was amazing. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and I will not hesitate to book this place instead of the place I normally stay. I couldn't have had a nicer stay and I am so grateful for the hospitality and such a warm welcome. Thank you so much and I will definitely see you again soon. Keep up the great work.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Black Bull in East Holton, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The pub itself is charming, and I especially appreciated the dedicated restaurant area. It was quiet and peaceful, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The Christmas decorations added a lovely festive touch, making the experience even more special.
Now, let's talk about the food ? absolutely incredible! Every dish was freshly prepared with obvious care and attention to detail. The flavors were fantastic, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. It's clear that The Black Bull takes pride in serving delicious, home-cooked food.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Black Bull. The friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and outstanding food make it a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a festive meal or simply a delicious dinner in a welcoming pub, The Black Bull is an excellent choice.

Top marks all round, 5?????, 10/10, ??. Usually when I have to work away I end up in a Travelodge or similar hotel chain because it's generally easier for the office to book etc. This time I found myself working at the Port and found this little gem. It must be a reasonable price because there was no grumbling from said office and they even paid for my breakfasts. I received a very pleasant, happy and friendly greeting when I checked in, Stephen (or Steven) is a superb host/landlord. I was shown to my room which was more than adequate, the beds and also the bedding were very comfortable and the bathroom with the great big shower head and hot water was just the ticket after work. True there's not a great deal of local facilities you are basically on a road with a pub and a local corner shop, but the food in the pub is very good, (I can definitely recommend the fish and chips) there's dartboards and a pool table. Breakfasts are spot on very tasty, Bacon, Sausages, scrambled eggs, beans, hash browns, tomato, mushrooms and toast, washed down with a glass of orange juice and a good size pot of tea or coffee. I've stayed on 2 separate occasions and it will be my first choice in the future if I'm working that way again.

Stayed for work, Steve and team friendly, food A+, lager cold. Room clean, bed comfortable, after a long days work everything you need.Unfortunately I started too early for breakfast but if the evening meal was anything to go bye I missed out.

The dirt on the sun shade plastic cover is filthy. There is grass growing all around the paving stones. The non music was very lound and utterly tuneless. There were only three other couples in this huge building. The food was just the opposite absolutely great...tasty and well presented Inside was a good deal cleaner and tidier but we took our well behaved dogs and it was exceptionally hot. It needs a lot of cleaning and tidying up and the fountain working. It could be a great place but it certainly needs a lot of effort..
