We were booked in for one night . There was a group of us. On entering our room we thought this is lovely ,comfortable . On entering the bathroom the first thing you see is the very old yellow marked toilet seat. It was awful. Really needs a new one.This morning as we went to breakfast the cleaners had placed new bed sheets and towels on the floor in the hallway. This is not acceptable how many people have walked there then you are going to put them on a new guests bed and bathroom. Some attention to detail and hygiene is needed. What a shame.

Stayed in room 306 for the weekend even though breakfast service was nearly done,the young lad with the mullet (Christian) I think he was called,got us some croissants and pain au chocs Sun 25th breakfast server sure it's Christian.very polite fella ashbourne hotel should be proud to have such a polite young fella on the firmSafety: Car felt safe in parking bayFood & drinks: Lovely

Difficult to rate this property as only had tea and scones here one morning, but after many happy returns I can say they serve a very nice scone, slightly warm with plenty of jam and clotted cream at a very reasonable price on a week day.

Nice Hotel.In the middle of nowere but close (5min.) to P66 refinery.Breakfast and dinner are absolute good.Rooms and equipement are a bit outdated, especially the carpet is old and not clean.Staff is helpfull and very freindly. The bar is good.

Friendly staff and amazing food. Nice clean restaurant. We went for Christmas Dinner with staff and really enjoyed our experience. Plenty of parking available.

Good location for the purpose of my stay.Hotel room is good with everything you need it. There is an iron and iron board in the corridor to use which is good.Not much else around here if you want to visit other amenities.Went to the restaurant to eat but it was packed so ate at the bar. Was served by Sam Reynolds who was gave excellent customer service. He was very attentive and knowledgeable.

Rooms little tight. Mixing hot and cold water a challenge for shower. Bed Mattress could be improved. Bar and food good. Nice, cozy. Not many options for the area.

I stay here quite often as there are not many options in the area. I usually have a better class of room but this time they could not accomodate me as one day was not available during the week I was staying so I got a standard room. Huge disappointment. The side lights on the wall didn't work and the table lamp flickered and buzzed on and off. The wall switch is opposite the bed by the door so difficult if you need to get up in the night to use bathroom as you can't get to a light I had to use my torch. The room was depressing and teh stark white light in the ceiling didnt give off a great deal of light so hard to see what i was doing. The cups in the room were used and encrusted with gunk! The shower nothing more than a drip and although food isn't too bad i must have touched unlucky sausages at breakfast were horrible two days on the run and the bacon so hard i nearly broke my teeth! Portions on evening meals not great I had abut 5 chips with my fish mostly burned so not all of them edible. Left hungry. Like i say must have touched unlucky this time with the food. Hotel tired and a great shame as it has great potential but does anyone care about it?
