Chatz is a lovely relaxing place to get your hair done. Very peaceful and the staff are always professional and do a wonderful job. Favourite part of the hairdressers is definetly the massage chair!

I?ve been really disappointed, disheartened and upset by the service I have received recently.I chose Chatz to do my Bridesmaid?s hair the morning of my wedding due to the reputation that they have amongst a number of my friends and family and thought I could trust this, given that my hair dresser would not have enough time to style 5 people. I was absolutely dismayed by the quality of the hair styles that were allowed to leave the premises. My Maid of Honour had hair pins falling out in the short time it took to get from one side of Horncastle to the other. I had to replace these myself and curl areas of her hair which had just been left to hang. My 2 other Bridesmaid?s hair were just a mess - that is simply the nicest thing I can say. It was fortunate that my hair dresser was still at my house to re-do both styles! One of Bridesmaids was in tears about the state of her hair and I wasn?t far behind her - which is not the ideal situation for your wedding morning.I spoke to Chatz separately to avoid having to leave any negative reviews as I?m a strong believer in resolving things directly particularly with local business. I explained what had happened and Chatz advised me that there should have been a hair trial and that they required at least 3 hours and that my two Bridesmaid?s hair were not suitable for the hairstyle we had requested. However, I would like to note that if a hair trial is preferable for the stylist it was not advised at the time of booking and my hairdresser managed to style both Bridesmaid?s hair amazingly and exactly how we had wanted in a total of 45 minutes maximum. I had also forewarned Chatz that my Bridesmaid?s hair may be tricky to work with and had sent them photographs of the styles I would prefer for this exact reason.In the time that my bridesmaids were at the Salon they were not offered coffee, tea or water which again was apparently down to the issue of time.When I let Chatz know that I was unhappy and wanted to be refunded two of the three hairstyles, which I thought was reasonable given that I had to fix the one that I was willing to pay the full amount for, they agreed to do this and informed me that the cash was ready to collect from the Salon. I advised them that my Maid of Honour would collect this as I was away enjoying time as a newlywed. When my Maid of Honour came to collect the money the lady working at the time was relatively curt and advised my Maid of Honour that the money wasn?t ready and that me or my Maid of Honour would have to come back ?next week?. My Maid of Honour had already taken time out of her busy work schedule and this simply wasn?t good enough! Again, I messaged Chatz separately and advised that I was disappointed and that I would like the money ready to collect and it would be my Maid of Honour collecting as I was away and then straight back to work in Lincoln and wouldn?t be able to get back to Horncastle within the Salon?s opening hours.The Bridesmaid?s hairstyles cost £25 each and so we were expecting £50 to be returned to us, only to find that they had only refunded £37 due their time ?styling? the hair. I found this outrageous given that at no point was this mentioned to me during our conversations that the full amount for both hairstyles would not be refunded as requested. This has caused so much distress and multiple inconveniences and I have basically had to pay for a service I didn?t receive since they were re-styled.I?m not a horrible person and I really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that this was simply an ?off? day and draw a line under this whole situation. At this point I?m not even bothered about the additional £13 that I should have received now, it is the appalling aftercare and service on the day that I?m so disappointed with and feel that people should be aware of. If I am ever asked me opinion on Chatz in the future I certainly will not be recommending.
