Wonderful welcome from a lass on her first shift. Well done. Burger and rosemary fries - excellent. The mushroom and cheese tart was poor, little filling and what was present was just a blob. The baby salad potatoes were new potatoes cut into smaller pieces whilst the heritage carrots were overcooked. This over cooking would have been the reason why we waited 45 minutes for the meals to arrive.
The male waiter asked if all was well and we responded in an equivocal manner. No enquiry made regarding our unenthusiastic response.
We will not be back but wish the new start waitress well.

The menu is varied , plenty of choice.and all cooked well.cant fault the food or the service. A very pleasant place to go for food and drinks

Went past on our way back from Norfolk to Chesterfield and popped in for dinner. Enjoyed the live music and our risotto and pork dishes.

Recommended to me for the quality of the food and it did not disappoint!! The steak was cooked to perfection, fries were good and the onion rings were some of the best I've had. Staff were very friendly and attentive throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again next time I'm in Holbeach.

Went to the Red Lion for the first time last night, initially to see the band Paisley Circus. We decided to book a meal, and we're allowed to use the table for the whole evening. The staff were amazing polite, attentive, service was fantastic. We had a variety of dishes from the menu and were very pleased with our food. It was very well cooked and presented and tasted amazing. Thank you to you man that showed us to our table and looked after us for the night.

I swear down I?m really cool and so is Millie?!!!! We?ve had a very chilled weekend away but it?s been so much fun thanks to the staff (Millie). The owner is supper accommodating and honestly we?ve had a lovely weekend!!! Highly recommend this place, the staff& Amy!!!

The most lovely, accommodating and friendly team, the food is outstanding and they accommodate to dietary requirements like gluten free and nut allergy. They quite literally serve the best gluten free fish and chips I have ever had! 100% recommend to anyone.

Located close to town and amenities. The room was finished to a very high standard and the bed was very comfortable. Fantastic value for money and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying. It was a nice surprise to find my room was more like an apartment.

Red Lion hosted our wedding reception. Alex & the team did a fabulous job of managing everything, the decorations, table layout, bespoke menu to accomodate dietary requirements, 2 tier wedding cake. Nothing was too much trouble. The hosting was friendly & informal. The food was amazing, & without exception all the guests commented how good the food, venue & hosting had been.
