Excellent food.
Be aware that there are no disabled spaces. My wife is a wheelchair user, and the lack of marked out spaces could be a problem.

We booked a table for 12. We waited till grandsons meal was nearly ready before going to get our carvery. There was one man doing all the carving. Another came.out once in a while to replace veg etc. He had hair covering but his longish beard was uncovered. The mash, toasties and Carrots n gravy was nice but the broccoli was rock.hard it flew off my plate and the yorkshire puddings were too crispy n burnt.The length of time it took for us to get served was too long. Infact it was that.long my grandson had already eaten his meal and my daughter n son in law asked for a refund on their carvery.
The atmosphere felt good and the staff we're pleasant. I felt.for the poor bloke doing all the carving he was.polite but rushed off his feet trying to serve everyone. The 4th person I front that took his time.was getting 4 takeaway boxes. Maybe look at how to get ppl served without ha ING to wait for the takeaways.

Been using this place for years, always rated it but something has gone wrong with the service here. Booked in advance because I knew it would be a busy night, arrived and gave my name but the girl just asked how many it was for and separated two tables by a few inches to make a table of 6 for us. I pointed out that we had booked, her response was ?we?ve been very busy? which is why I booked the day before!
No one offered us a drink when seated. Had to go and find someone, waited ages for a drink and then two didn?t arrive at all! Eventually ordered our food, again a really long wait and two meals arrived but the rest hadn?t come. Asked the girl who brought the food where the rest was and she responded ?I was told
Someone else was bringing it but can?t be sure?
And the bar maid was also poor, she could clearly see I was waiting but carried on putting glasses away and then answered the phone while keeping me waiting.
Absolute shambles now. The mature women that used to wait in tables brilliantly and kept on top of everything were nowhere to be seen, just lots of very young girls and a young boy. The woman who used to be behind the bar was fantastic at keeping on top of things, she was not there either. I can?t remember how many times we have used this place, it?s a lot. But we will not be back.

Not a great experience meals where hit and miss 4 of us dined, baked salmon was great and the fish and chips, unfortunately the chips that came with the hunters chicken were certainly re-fried definitely not fresh out the fryer and the fryed brie was definitely overcooked..girl behind the bar with long blonde hair tied back kept scratching her head/hair and belly button showing

What a perfect place with lovely food and friendly attentive staff. Enjoyed my Mums 60th this evening. We only booked 2 days previous and found staff very helpful. All food came at the same time for 19 of us children?s meals served first really recommend. Thank you all so much for a lovely evening.
