Tonight's visit to Ruskington sleaford took us to the local chippy which turned out to be a really pleasant experience. Same pricing as most chip shops but portions a little less than most. Apart from that 5 star all round.

Walked into a lovely atmosphere, the staff were very friendly, ordered haddock,chips and peas, I must say it was absolutely delicious until I found the hair on my plate,not one but two black hairs.,I couldn't eat the rest of my meal.When they came to take away our dishes,I politely showed them my find and got a half hearted apology, paid £33 for this, on the way out ,there was four members of staff behind the the fryers none of them wearing hair nets. So I was quite disappointed ?

Batter a little soggy on the fish.For me the meal was let down by cheap Tomato sauce, Tartar sauce and cheap margarine on the bread, weak tea which I am guessing we're from cheap tea bags. Poor quality condiments ruin a good meal, butter should be available even if its an extra cost.I have always felt the Elite establishments gave a good dining experience which deserved the amount charged, I didn't feel this today. For the cost of eating out, it needs to be right and feel worthy.I always use the Elite as I like the sustainability and information on the products used, although didn't see this information today.Just felt lacking. In reply to owner, I did ask for butter and was told it wasn't an option, wasn't offered Heinz either. As a Yorkshire Lass who loves her Yorkshire Tea, I can't believe it was Yorkshire tea in the pot on this day, it was weak. ?. Also the information on the catch and potatoes wasn't on the board today. Thank you for your reply though.
