“Jus come off main road and down a narrow lane and park on verge near church. It is normally open. Turn lights on by switches on right hand side in vestry when you first walk in. It is impressive when lit up with stained glass windows and a lively chancel area! The building has Saxon // Norman history. Well worth a visit.”
“Attended the Remembrance outside service: it was heartening to see so many people there. It was a lovely but sad occasion, marred only by the difficulties with the technology, the vicar seemed to struggle with the sound system (just like last year). I'm sure one of the many young people in attendance would have been only too willing to help the poor lady out, for we all know how technical proficient many of the 'kids' are.Having said all that I am not from Waltham but some of my family are and we all attend as family. Please Lady Reverent, wear your cassock over your outdoor wear and then we will recognise you in the crowd. To all the poor men and women who fought for us, often dying in the process Thank you and Thank you to Waltham for remembering them”
“St Martins is a beautiful church but what makes it is the people inside. The wonderful rev pat who runs it and the church family inside. Pop along you will be welcomed and you will love it. children are welcomed too xxxxxxx”
