My dealings with William H Brown started in January this year, I saw 2 houses that I wanted to view with them. Filled out the info on rightmove and also asked for a valuation on my house. The valuation was booked but I never heard anything about the viewings, by the time they came and did the valuation and I asked them about the 2 houses they said they were sold so we didn?t go ahead with putting our property on the market. Then in April I saw another house I liked and it was with William H Brown again, I rang them to book the viewing rather than go through rightmove and viewed the property on the 8th April, on the 14th I emailed them to register interest and say my house is just going on the market etc, no reply! My house was quickly under offer so I emailed again on the 22nd with my offer, no reply! After a few phone calls to chase up a response (I was told they had been too busy with other offers to deal with mine!!) I finally got an answer a few days later.
This was just the beginning of the poor communication. I had a phone call from the manager as their vendor had called them previously offering me some fittings from the house but they hadn?t relayed this to me, I was asked to keep them updated as and when things were progressing which I dutifully did, never getting any reply. With initial enquiries through the solicitor I raised concerns about the boiler but never got a reply so I asked William H Brown twice if the boiler could be serviced? no reply again. Eventually I organised and paid for a company to service it and it was condemned. At this point I was furious that it was now July and everyone has been ignoring me for 3 months on this query and we were due to complete at the end of the month. I wasn?t happy and called them straight away and let out all my frustration of how rubbish they?d been. I voiced that I know of 5 other people that have bought or sold through them fairly recently and they?d all told me similar experiences, but William H Brown disputed this and called me a liar saying they never have issues but seeing some of the reviews on here that refer to rude and patronising communications I?m definitely not the only one.
In the end a price reduction was agreed and we completed the week after, if only they hadn?t ignored my initial requests there would have been plenty of time to get a new boiler fitted and it wouldn?t have been so stressful all at the last minute as I was in a chain and my buyer had set a date and I didn?t want to let him down so we moved in without a working boiler.
Overall I didn?t feel supported by William h brown as a buyer and everyone I know has said ?I told you so?

Had an absolutely fabulous experience with this company. Charlie are letting an agent went above and beyond managing to get everything signed and sorted and keys in our hand in less than a weekend from viewing unbelievable stuff. Can?t recommend them enough.

Recently tried to buy a house through this agency.Offered a price £10000 lower than market value. Agent was not ready to communicate with seller . we already sorted mortgage with our mortgage advisor but then forced us to meet their mortgage advisor so they will try to get extra fund .Lot of improvement needs taken into consideration when price offered.
Always try to get house Owner phone number or ask agent to confirm email copied to you when making offer .
When I was justified why I offered below than market price agent Katie commented was very rude- well you should know before going to see the house what you can afford.
I just laughed. When setting up market value please consider the amount of work needed for home improvement as well rather than overpriced market value.

Spent a week trying to get some pricing to let my property, still waiting on emails, seems like they are not bothered, not good for future tenants, time to move on

Recently looked for a temporary house with William H Brown, Curtis was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable at an extremely stressful time. He was exceptionally helpful and exceeded all our expectations, going above and beyond to ensure the house was perfect for us. The suggestions he made were innovative and were always dealt with quickly. We cannot thank him enough for all the effort he made.

Wouldn?t recommend in any circumstance. Me and my partner had a viewing for a property on Jan 25, to be told at 9am two days before that the viewing was not happening due to my partners medical condition, which they knew about when we viewed the first 2 properties.
They have discriminated against someone with a medical condition even after showing them around multiple properties before hand.

couldn?t fault the amazing service we received from wh brown. charly was so helpful in getting our documents together to move into our new property and a huge thank you to curtis who supported us through the issues we were having regarding our previous tenancy and managed to help us find the most perfect home for myself, my partner and our baby. could never fault their service and communication, they really reassured us in every way possible and they couldn?t have helped us more!

Was looking for a rental property had a viewing with Curtis who was brilliant and spoke to charly on the phone whi was also amazing. Due to my circumstances changing I had to cancel things and they were so understanding and kind. Strongly recommended.

We had a bit of a shaky start with communication but once I started speaking to Amanda everything came together.
We had a big chain and towards the end Amanda was chasing everyone daily and really pushing to get the sale and purchase through.
It felt like everything that could go wrong did but Amanda was there all the way and put up with me shouting and crying down the phone (sorry).
Would definitely instruction them again.

I recently had an issue resulting in me having to leave my flat quite quickly! The agency and property management were very helpful.. gave me good advice on how to move forward and also offered another flat that was available at the time. I have now moved into my new flat Everything happened in a timely manner and overall I'm very happy with the service provided.
