Quite frankly will be never be returning here again. Stopped here briefly on my route to Barnsley in dire need of a coffee, and to the best of my knowledge Starbucks was the place to go. However, my excitement was quickly dampened by the rude and unwelcoming staff i came to encounter. All i asked for was an iced coffee with caramel syrup, and yet i was greeted with a judgemental look by one of your staff, i believe his name was Josh. It took 12 minutes for this coffee to be made, (bare in mind there was only one other person waiting), and it tasted watered down with absolutely not a single drop of caramel syrup was present. After informing josh about my dismay, he responded a cold glare and apologised without a single ounce of compassion. Considering starbucks is known to be a chain with friendly staff and a welcoming environment, this was quite the opposite experience. Starbucks you have lost a customer, i suggest to others not to come here and i hope you don?t encounter the same incapable and rude staff i did (josh).

This store on the busy A1 has a surprising homely feel to it, nice indoor seating area, leading out to a nice outdoor area with a nice lawn to finish it off, oh and then you have the A1, but apart from that it?s a great place to stop for a coffee.

We stopped off here on the way to our holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. Emily served us and she was so friendly and answered all our many questions about the iced drinks. We did not feel rushed, she was very patient and served us with a smile!

Too many people treating this place as their office. Would be nice to sit and enjoy a coffee without someone either having an interview or an office meeting.

I?ve worked many years in hospitality and customer service. I have to say John was amazingly positive, great energy and very great smile. John served at the till, made my coffee and even communicated with the queue behind me that he will be with them as soon as he has finished serving me my venti latte for takeaway. He is the type of human being that is an asset to any business. Thank you John!

Ignored for over 5 minutes by useless barista who was busy saying he was slammed, while preparing an order for the only other customer in there. Fortunately after a while he went and got an extremely competent and helpful barista from out the back I think her name was Emily. My advice is don?t stop here unless you are prepared to wait around for no apparent reason.

Nice spacious interior very causal and relaxed, with lots of seating, drinks galore as with all Starbucks and light snacks in the form of sandwiches and heated sandwiches and sweet bite too, not a large selection to eat more of a drink and rest place, free parking too.

Service was prompt and both baristas were pleasant. The coffee shop was clean and tidy. We had an Americano and a tea to go.

This is one of the cleanest Starbucks I have ever been in - and I have been in a lot over the last 25 years! A great place to take a break on the A1. John, the Barista, gets top marks for brilliant customer service. Couldn?t have been more cheerful or helpful.
