One of the largest churches in the UK, when it was built there was a seat for every person in the town. Easy to access and if early enough there's teas and biscuits. No entry fee

CHURCH. Last visited 2025. The church is huge in scale. The architecture is splendid and of a grand scale. The interior has some interesting artefacts, memorials and tombs. The organ is magnificent. There is a coffee shop with various books and leaflets on sale. There is a visitor centre. The graveyard is neat and tidy with some interesting headstones.

The best steeple in England ! Come and visit the Francis Trigge Chained Library founded in 1598. It is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon, April to September.
