My 70 year old Mother recently visited the store who suffers from several conditions, including underactive thyroid, hashimoto's diseases, and long covid. The store assistant gave her multiple recommendations, all of which would have potentially worsened her condition(s) or interacted with her medication. My mother informed the assistant of the GP medical advice she had been given, and the advice I had given her as a qualified nutritionist. The assistant dismissed much of this advice, insinuating that the GP and myself did not know what we were talking about. I'm not sure what sort of training these assistants receive, but advising against medical advice and slandering qualified practitioners in the field is not only unprofessional, but leaves the company potentially liable for damages. I would advice anyone to seek professional advice before listening to in-store advice at Holland & Barrett.

Popped in yesterday and was really pleased. I didn?t catch the sales gentleman?s name (he was a young Asian lad) but he was so helpful and knowledgeable! Would definitely go back.

I absolutely love this shop. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Always gives advice which products suit better. The variety of supplements and vitamins is really great.Also offers/deals very attractive, which saves money . And, don't forget to upload the app as, very often, there is extra % off on top of the total.

I had a delivery last night of some Arnica creame by Hermes. I tried to email them because the pakage was damaged, but they have no reply. Fortunately the contents are OK. They sent an email to give the time of delivery, after it expired I went to look outside and found the package on the door step.Luckilyit was not raining.

When I need my vitamins or some random herbal remedy that my mom has told me to try out... I stop into Holland & Barrett. Yes. Sometimes I kowtow to my Asian roots and go for the alternative medicine. Sometimes it works. Sometimes I'm not sure what it does. I do find it difficult to find what I am looking for sometimes...hence the three stars. And there aren't always many staff around to help. However, the staff that are there are usually friendly. There are some times where they were not able to help me, but not in a 'We don't sell that' sort of way, but as in a 'I should know about the vitamins and supplements on the shelf, but I don't' sort of way. I do appreciate the sales though because sometimes when you need to buy half the store to make a concoction that your mother saw on Dr. Oz and thinks you need to try it because it will change your life... it can get expensive... Yeah. I know. I'm 28 and my mom still tells me what to do... even on a different continent.
