I recently visited the Dunelm store in Grantham to collect two duvets I had ordered online through the click and collect service, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. The ordering process on the Dunelm website was straightforward, with clear product descriptions and stock availability shown, which gave me confidence that my items would be ready on time. I received a confirmation email and a follow-up notification once the duvets were available for collection, which was reassuring.
When I arrived at the store, the click and collect desk was easy to find, and there were clear signs pointing me in the right direction. The staff were welcoming, polite, and efficient, checking my order details quickly and retrieving the duvets without delay. I only had to wait a couple of minutes, which made the trip very convenient. The duvets were well packaged and in perfect condition, exactly as described online.
The store itself was well laid out and felt spacious, with a good range of products on display. Although I only went in to collect my order, I had a quick browse and was impressed with the variety of homeware available. Overall, the whole experience was simple, efficient, and stress-free?exactly what I wanted from a click and collect service.

Absolutely appalling experience ? I will never shop at Dunelm again.
I recently attempted to return an item in Grantham, I purchased this from the Peterborough store, only to be met with the rudest manager I?ve ever encountered. Despite having my receipt, she refused to process the exchange simply because the barcode was slightly faded and difficult to read. Her dismissive attitude and unwillingness to find a reasonable solution were shocking.
I live 2.5 hours away from Peterborough, so returning to that store was not an option. I left the items behind as I have no use for them, and frankly, Dunelm can resell them with or without a barcode. The lack of customer care and rigid, unhelpful policies are unacceptable.
With such shoddy business practices and poor treatment of customers, I will never shop at Dunelm again.

Nicely laid out but limited stock in some areas. There are limited sale items but still able to find what we needed.
The staff are pleasant and the shop is generally clean.

Please keep eye on prices, some of my items scanning higher than shelf price,to be told ooh they must have been filled wrong,do you still want them 4 put of my 8 products scanned higher told cashier to keep some of items , I thought this was illegal
