“I recently gave 30 days notice to withdraw funds from a 30 day notice account. More than 40 days later, I had not received the closing cheque, as promised. I chased this once or twice and was told that the letter was in the post. The letter had been sent 5 days after my 30 days notice was up. When I received the letter, the cheque was not attached (as stated in the letter, that it was enclosed).By this point, it was more than 40 days since giving notice and I was so close to my deadline for re-mortgaging, before the mortgage offer would expire. Had this been the end of it, I would have given a 1 star rating, however Daniella took my complaint seriously and agreed to resolve the situation by sending the money via a Telegraphic Transfer (same day transfer), wavering the £25 fee. She also gave £25 as a good will gesture, for the stress and inconvenience caused.Overall, the service here wasn't great but I am pleased with the resolution. I hope that Melton learnt from this instance.”
