Hayley was really helpful from the first call, making a very detailed video of the car, showing any imperfections, and giving an honest overview before we decided to come and view (we're based in London so needed to get up close to the car before making the trip.) She was very responsive on email, friendly and professional - and it makes a difference when someone is friendly especially if you're not used to buying cars very often! Highly recommended.

Do read and save yourself from the hassle and want a road worthy vehicle!
Please don?t get carried away by all the positive reviews - I fell for it too. I was looking for a decent second-hand car and, after some research, chose Evans Halshaw Gainsborough because it seemed to have better reviews. Let me share the ?customer satisfaction? I received.
I found a car, called them, agreed on a day to collect it, and drove nearly 100 miles - only to be told the vehicle was still on the ramp. Brilliant customer service, isn?t it? Then, while inspecting, I spotted dents. I was promised they?d be fixed before collection. When I finally got the car, the dent was still there, plus there was a squeaking noise when braking and a weak handbrake. Once again, ?amazing? customer satisfaction.
The car only came with a 3-month warranty. I went to a nearby branch not once, not twice, but three times - only to be told everything was fine: ?The squeak is just new brake pads? and ?handbrake fixed.? Yet the car failed its MOT just 4 months later, for the exact same handbrake issue.
Now about their so-called customer support: I chased them about the dent that was supposed to have been fixed in the first place. Tried calling Kieran, the customer advisor who sold me the car - no proper response. Every time I rang, I was told the manager was ?busy? or ?not at his desk.? Coincidence? Only when I became strict over the phone did the manager suddenly appear to speak to me and approve the dent repair. That alone tells you the kind of customer care you can expect.
Most recently, during an intermediate service, I was told the front and rear pads were worn, discs excessively lipped, and a caliper seized with brakes running metal-to-metal - all of which had to be fixed urgently due to safety concerns. This, despite the branch?s own ?vehicle health check? in January saying the pads were only 50% worn. And these are the ?skilled technicians? Evans Halshaw proudly advertise on their website.
So much for trust, transparency, and aftercare. I wish I had ignored the glowing reviews and saved myself the time, money, and stress.

Hayley at Evans Halshaw Gainsborough was most helpful, supportive, knowledgeable and professional throughout the search for a new used car. I had to go from manual to automatic, gave criteria I needed, 5 doors, petrol etc. At no time was I pressurised to divert off what I needed. Hayley knew my criteria, price range and this was adhered to at all times. As a lone female, I never felt intimidated or uncomfortable in the showroom. Thank you Hayley, Lewis and Kieran. Excellent service as always car taken as part of a general recall so took the opportunity to have 2 new tyres which were very competitive in price. Super fast and included a full vehicle health check so what more could you ask!

We visited Evans Halshaw Gainsborough to explore buying a hybrid Kuga...and served by Hayley who was so good! She listened to us, heard what we wanted and answered every question. She was patient, clearly loves her job and really good at it. She and Lewis made a great team and offered us a great deal. Really great friendly service from Lewis and Hayley for a booked test drive. Fleet car order so wouldn't be a sale for the dealership, still got a good service, and did mean a Ford was ordered. Offered to help with any post delivery queries by fleet.

Absolutely outstanding Ford Garage. The whole experience is excellent. From walking through the door you will receive an excellent service from the Service Desk staff. Always knowledgeable, understanding, polite and professional. Communication is excellent whilst your car is in the garage and the prices are very reasonable.
Work is always completed to a very high standard and follow-up communication is provided.

I enquired about a Peugeot 2008 online and got a voicemail from Evans Halshaw Gainsborough but didn?t catch the caller?s name. When I phoned back, I explained this, and the person said he?d pass on the message?then hung up on me without letting me speak further.
I tried calling again as I wanted to leave a deposit to secure the car before someone else bought it. No one answered?until I withheld my number, and it was picked up immediately. That was a huge red flag.
Still, I placed a £99 deposit and drove over an hour from Hull with my toddler to view the car. It was filthy inside, scratched outside?completely misrepresented online. The sales exec admitted he should?ve sent a video.
I declined to buy the car and was promised a refund. Over 4 weeks later, nothing. More unanswered calls, vague emails, and no follow-up after asking for a manager twice.
Finally, I contacted head office, and the refund was processed within 2 days. The Gainsborough branch is a joke?zero professionalism. Never again.
