Ten out of ten every time ! We always place our order and then walk 'round to collect it. We loved tonight's salt and pepper munchy box, it was great and was bursting from everything in it - chopped spare ribs, chicken in batter, spring rolls, chips, chicken balls, fried rice, onions green pepper and garlic, and curry sauce. For main courses we had the sweet and sour Hong Kong style king prawns that are so.plump and so delicious as are the pineapple green pepper and onion chunks that are in the sweet and sour sauce - theyre always fresh, delicious and crunchy. Our chicken and ginger with spring onions was also gorgeous. We really appreciate the fast professional chefs and the great front of office lady who takes the orders at China Chef. We were thrilled with the free prawn crackers and the fortune cookies and blown away by the gift of the cokes! Thank you so much China Chef! Ten out of ten for you and a very Happy Christmas !

I don?t normally leave reviews , but I really enjoyed my Chinese that I felt like I had to. I?ve struggled to find a nice Chinese in Gainsborough after having some bad experiences at some other local Chinese which I won?t name. I was losing hope of ever having a decent Chinese local to me. I dont normally write reviews or complain. Generally EVERY time we go to china chef its good. However tonight we ordered and where do i begin?We ordered half chps half rice, Wontons, Chicken chow mein and curry sauce.Half the chips were undercooked in the half and half.There was a long hair either in the rice or curry sauce (unsure as she mixed togethe, (which i know wasnt mine as my partner sorted her own food plate and she has short hair).The wontons were overcooked.The only meal that was brilliant was the chicken chow mein and the prawn crackers.

Lovely service, delicious food and reasonably priced. This is my go to Chinese takeaway, and it always delivers great food.

Called to pick up a takeaway on our way home. We?d never been and it was a choice of several in the area. Glad we picked it. Service was good and quick and the food was still hot when we got home. They added a bit of extra spice as I?d requested and I think it?s the best Chinese takeaway I?ve had in a long time. I?d certainly recommend them and even though they don?t deliver to us I will certainly be back.

chips were heavily the seasame toast was amazing and the rice was pretty good overall the food was amazing and I will definitely order them again
